SUMMARY:
McCain Foods is looking for a highly motivated individual who can excel in a fast-paced environment and is excited about working within a customer centric supply chain. We are seeking a talented, bright and hardworking individual with willingness to work cross functionally and to support the growth of the Control Tower team within the Customer Solutions NA organization.
The primary responsibility of the Control Tower Lead NA is to maximize service and minimize cost in our of key distribution channels. As the owner of one or more distribution channels or geographies, this role will proactively manage site level distribution requirements and upcoming order volumes against network constraints and set direction on prioritization to deliver McCain's goals.
In inventory or capacity constrained environments, this role will be the primary owner of proactive efforts to address issues, rally cross functional teams to action, and set and drive corrective action plans.
The role will ensure high levels of Network operation and Inventory Effectiveness to ensure a customer centric Supply Chain. This will be done by supporting the Sr Manager E2E Control Tower, partnering with the other Control Tower leads, collaborating with key internal stakeholders to identify current points of opportunity and utilizing established corrective actions to improve the customer experience in North America.
The ideal candidate for this position is inquisitive about our business and understands the importance of Order to Delivery processes both internally and externally to drive strategic supply chain partnerships with Customers. Leveraging data analytics to provide insights and guide decisions is essential. Candidates must also possess analytical capabilities, business insight, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work within a team environment supporting clearly defined company and department guidelines, function effectively under time constraints, manage changing priorities and work on several initiatives simultaneously is a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Function as the Control Tower owner for one or more distribution segments of the McCain North American Supply chain network and to work with the Control Tower Senior Manager to balance and achieve optimal results across the network.
  • Proactively prioritize movements to maximize fill rates and ensure the health of all inbound and outbound movements through a particular network to. Develop and maintain tools to ensure proactive activities, including the 13-Week network forecast.
  • Lead triage efforts to drive improvement and rally key Supply Chain stakeholders to address and properly prioritize future capacity constraints and/or bottlenecks. Develop allocations and TOS recommendations and collaborate with GTM Directors, SC Customer Service Director, and SC Experience Director to align and execute with excellence.
  • Standup focused E2E response programs to drive performance at a Customer Site/Region, or BU level.
  • Own Network KPI performance for their owned BU and Regions. Leverage analytics and reporting to define & drive opportunities to level-up Supply Chain reliability, performance and cost. Examples include site throughput (pallets & weight by day), lead times, CFR by DC, ,in-bound on-time %, out bound on-time %, DC/Trans capacity (both operational and theoretical).
  • Ensure Inventory Health by partnering with Deployment and Inventory Management teams to evaluate long and stranded inventory positions and evaluate the best course of action to resolve for their assigned business segments.
  • Establish or participate in adhoc projects, as needed, to improve performance or enable cost savings.


REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Operations Management.
  • 5+ years Supply Chain experience, preference towards Customer facing roles, Logistics, Supply / Demand Planning.
  • Willingness to participate in open and candid coaching conversations for career growth and development
  • Thorough and meticulous with the ability to work with speed and accuracy.
  • Bias towards action, able to analyze multiple pieces of information and act decisively.
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Understand sources of information and can procure information effectively.
  • Experienced and highly competent with Power BI and Excel
  • Experience working within cross functional teams with diverse career backgrounds.
  • Understanding of major business processes and associated data within the Customer Solutions space, as well as a working knowledge of relevant departments (such as supply planning, manufacturing, sales, marketing, engineering, IT, etc.) and how they integrate with Logistics.
  • Cross functional awareness with the ability to support others who report to other parts of the organization to deliver projects successfully on-time and on budget.
  • Embraces a culture of continuous improvement within the logistics and customer solutions teams.
  • Engages with cross-functional teams supporting supply chain process improvement projects.
  • Successful demonstration managing multiple requests at one time, while meeting (or exceeding) leadership expectations.
  • Willingness to accept coaching, mentorship and being held accountable.
