For our frontend work, we use React, TypeScript, NextJS, React-Query, Turborepo, and TailwindCSS. The ideal candidate should understand state management patterns, React rendering process, and how to make the most of TypeScript.
Responsibilities:
- Work on core Perplexity UI/UX features
- Contribute to our component library
- Investigate and fix performance bottlenecks
- Improve frontend infrastructure
- Follow and enforce best practices
- Work with backend engineers to define API specifications
Key Qualifications:
- Have at least 4+ years of experience with React and TypeScript
- Have worked with NodeJS and ideally NextJS
- Have proactive communication skills and are ready to work in a fast-paced environment
- Are interested in the future of UI/UX and convinced that LLMs will play a crucial role in it
- Determined to build great experiences by getting the details right
- Up-to-date with the latest tech in frontend, but practical about using it
The cash compensation range for this role is $180,000 to $220,000.
