A key component in scaling  is our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, which provides strategic and financial partnership to NetEase’s global executive team.

You will be the FP&A support for our various studios across NA/EU. This role requires an experienced financial analysis and partner to help drive continued growth in this high priority strategic franchise. Knowledge of the gaming industry, especially console games and game publishing business are a significant advantage. English as working language. Mandarin is a plus for ease of communication with our internal teams based in China.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide financial guidance and strategic partnership to our various studios’ leadership team
  • Be a strong business partner to our stakeholders for the studio financial planning process, including the quarterly, annual and long-range planning cycles
  • Drive revenue forecasting in collaboration with studio, data analytics and user acquisition teams
  • Drive insightful analysis to highlight variance drivers and identify opportunities to mitigate risk and improve performance via monthly, rolling forecasts and ad-hoc reporting
  • Provide oversight and partner with studio leadership to manage the studio P&L to maximize the health of the business, including budget spend tracking, headcount forecasting and tracking, purchase order and invoice tracking and monthly close activities
  • Create P&L modeling and evaluate opportunities in support of new business initiatives or new product incubation
  • Provide strategic advice and financial rigor, ensuring the implications of business decisions are understood & aligned with profitability goals
  • Prepare and hold business reviews for NetEase’s leadership team with clear and actionable presentation materials
  • Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, standardize and automate forecasting and reporting tools and processes
  • Collaborate with your studio partners, your international finance team and and other corporate functions
  • Foster an inclusive culture while working with passionate colleagues to create games that are fun

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of related finance experience 
  • Solid FP&A knowledge.
  • Experience with P&L management, financial modeling, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
  • Experience evaluating business performance metrics and translating to applicable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge
  • Experience in gaming and tech industry.
  • Knowledge of forecasting tools
  • Strong communication skills, be reliable and be flexible for cooperation with different time zones.
  • Flexibility with working hours (North America & Asia time zones)
  • If based in Montreal, must be willing to work on a hybrid working arrangement: in Montreal office for a minimum of 3x/week
