Job Title: Dev Ops Engineer

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada 

Work Model: Hybrid

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, test and deploy complex product modules on time

  • End-to-end ownership of the assigned modules with a strong focus on the solution, code quality, performance, security and efficiency

  • Actively contribute towards design discussions

  • Demonstrate engineering excellence through commitment to quality execution, continuous improvement and customer empathy

  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices, such as style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability and efficiency

  • Provide solid technical leadership and work closely with team leads, Product Management and QA teams for flawless delivery of the product

  • Actively contribute towards the CICD process

  • Drive team in adopting relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes

  • Mentor and train junior team members on design techniques and coding standards

  • Propose innovative solutions to address business problems

  • Maintain high-quality standards on all deliverables

  • Proactively identify and work on automation opportunities

  • Conduct training and resource onboardings sessions

Experience You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any STEM-related programs

  • 5-8 years of enterprise software development experience with proficiency in full-stack development

  • Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms, SOLID principles and software design patterns

  • Good understanding of DB concepts, data modeling and storage with a well-known relational database, preferably SQL Server

  • Strong technical, problem-solving, communication and cross-group collaboration skills

  • Pride in ownership and passion for innovation

  • Experience in agile methods such as Scrum/XP, Business Driven Development and Continuous Delivery
