Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and ongoing enhancement of the enterprise data governance framework, aligning with business priorities, regulatory expectations, and risk management practices.

  • Enable effective metadata management, including business glossaries, lineage, and data catalogs using tools like Alation, Collibra, Atlan (or equivalent).

  • Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to implement data classification, tagging, and lineage capture aligned with privacy and security needs.

  • Drive data quality management practices — define DQ dimensions, establish rules, and coordinate profiling, monitoring, and remediation workflows.

  • Oversee the rollout of governance capabilities across data domains and platforms, with measurable impact and adoption

  • Engage with stakeholders across technology, risk, legal, compliance, and business functions to ensure alignment and adoption of governance practices.

  • Lead or support data strategy and transformation programs that require structured governance input (e.g., MDM, cloud modernization, regulatory initiatives).

  • Define metrics to track data quality, policy adherence, issue resolution, and overall governance maturity.

  • Produce regular dashboards and executive-level reporting on governance KPIs.

  • Continuously benchmark internal practices against industry standards and identify improvement

Qualifications:

  • Strong familiarity with data governance platforms (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Informatica, Alation)

  • Hands-on experience implementing governance for master data, reference data, or sensitive data domains

Preferences:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Master's degree preferred.
