Job Description
Arcadis is currently seeking a Cost Controller to join our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA) in Canada.
We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.
In this role, you will be an integral part of a team providing advisory services to clients during the pre-construction and execution phase of major capital construction projects. Your work will contribute to the successful completion of projects.
Role Acountabilities:
- Prepare cost reports for senior management, advise management of variation to budget and provide estimated costs to complete
- Assist in processing project change notices, maintain change logs, and develop management reports at an appropriate level of detail
- Process and verify invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Classify costs accurately and prepare financial reports
- Assist with month end and year end duties as required
- Monitoring accounts receivable and payable;
- Assist in the preparation of estimates for minor scopes of work for review by the Project Manager
- Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders
- Identify and resolve project control issues, proposing solutions to address problems in coordination with other project control team members
Qualifications
- Knowledge of scheduling software, namely Primavera (P6) and an ability to assess the cost and schedule impacts of design or construction changes and associated cost increases and or schedule slippages
- Proven ability to work in a team environment demonstrating excellent communication skills;
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy;
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an asset
