Job Description

AVP, Inside Sales Consultant 

We are seeking an Inside Sales Consultant to join the Client Relationship Management with Brookfield Private Wealth. The role is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and would be supporting a Senior Vice President, Client Relationship Management (external sales). 

As a key member of the Internal Sales Desk, the Inside Sales Consultant will partner with the Senior Vice President, Client Relationship Management to build new relationship, as well as enhance existing partnerships, with financial advisors across key markets in Canada. The objective will be to increase market share and brand awareness of Brookfield and Oaktree products offered in Canada; an integral part of furthering the client journey and attaining both revenue and profitability goals.
Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Senior Vice President, Client Relationship Management to develop and implement a territory sales plan

  • Conduct consultative, relationship-building sales calls with wealth intermediaries.

  • Advance the sales process by coordinating meetings and presentations (examples of meetings include face-to-face meetings, conference calls, and client seminars, etc.).

  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for information and conduct investment analysis as needed.

  • Convey technical knowledge of the firms’ investment strategies and maintain a comprehensive understanding of market trends

  • Update daily call activities and maintain accurate advisor records within Salesforce on a 
    timely basis.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the financial services industry

  • College degree or equivalent experience required (MBA, CFP, & CIM); CFA or CAIA designation required

  • In depth knowledge of the Canadian Wealth Management and Asset Management landscape

  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills

  • Strong work ethic, high integrity and strong values

  • Motivated to achieve success and grow with the firm

  • Consultative, client first approach, delivering solutions, not products, to meet needs and get results

  • Excellent listening skills with a natural inclination to focus on client needs coupled with strong presentation and interpersonal skills

  • A growth mindset with a business-owner mentality, which is naturally drawn to opportunities, innovation, new value creation, and looks to continuously improve own capabilities

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel within Canada and to the U.S

Salary Range: $115,000 - $145,000
