Associate, Investor Relations and FP&A


Position Summary:

This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role that offers the opportunity to develop strong relationships across Brookfield’s investment professionals, finance, operations, and senior management teams, in addition to building a strong external network through interactions with Brookfield Corporation’s institutional and retail shareholders and equity research analysts.


The Associate will focus on supporting Brookfield Corporation’s Investor Relations (IR) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) functions, contributing to the execution of the company’s IR strategy and ongoing engagement with shareholders. The role also includes assisting with quarterly forecasting, annual business planning, and developing financial analyses to support these activities.


The individual selected will play a critical role in maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, while also contributing to the company’s planning and analytical efforts. Responsibilities:


·         Support quarterly earnings processes, including preparation of press releases, investor presentations, Q&A materials, supplemental disclosures, Board materials, and internal and external communications

·         Manage quarterly forecasting and annual business planning processes, including variance analysis and coordination across business groups

·         Support the development of Investor Day materials, including the presentation, financial model, and supporting analyses

·         Monitor analyst models, ratings, target prices, trading activity, and peer performance, providing regular updates to senior management

·         Manage inquiries from retail investors, communicating directly with investors and internal stakeholders to fulfill a variety of investor queries

·         Support ongoing engagement with institutional investors and equity research analysts

·         Partner with finance, investments, and operating teams across Brookfield to analyze financial performance and key drivers of earnings

·         Prepare briefing materials for senior management ahead of investor meetings, conferences, and earnings calls

·         Oversee the maintenance of the investor relations website and manage the production and issuance of Brookfield Corporation press releases

·         Support other various investor relations and FP&A initiatives as required
 

Qualifications/Requirements:

·         Minimum of 3 years of related experience, with an undergraduate university degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

·         Strong financial literacy and understanding of key finance concepts including, valuation, financial statement analysis and investment performance measurement

·         Superior communication skills (written and oral) and ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally

·         Dedicated, well-organized and resourceful, with a high level of attention to detail

·         Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word 

·         Team player with positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills

·         Interest in the financial markets and investments
 

This position would be suitable for those candidates who meet the position requirements and who thrive in a performance-driven environment that emphasizes employee leadership and accountability for delivering results.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $145,000 CAD
