SUMMARY

Experienced Sr. Business Analyst, proficient in the JD Edwards application implementation, design, configuration and support; responsible for gathering and organizing business requirements, analyzing data requirements, performing systems analysis and design activities, and supporting systems development, testing, and delivery efforts.

This position will be responsible for leading and supporting all phases of the system development life-cycle process for the JD Edwards application. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and 10+ years prior experience with delivery and support of Tier-One ERP applications. Applicants must have strong experience in project management fundamentals and standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Facilitate and organize meetings with functional users and business managers to document procedures and to gather functional requirements.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting technical problems and developing a plan of action for resolution
  • Perform analysis and design activities for modules and or applications to be delivered
  • Modifies and/or enhances JDE applications following established methodology.
  • Leverage experience to suggest and support business enhancements
  • Coordinate quality assurance efforts by developing and executing test plans
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Create user documentation for modules / applications / processes deployed
  • Design and configuration of automated business process workflows
  • Coordinate system signoff and meet all other change management requirements.
  • Research and resolve help desk issues that relate to the core JDE application
  • Works effectively with all work groups, even when they are outside the formal line of authority
  • Coordinate and assist in project management including project status reporting, facilitate and coordinate with project team and document RAID (Risk, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  • 10 or more years of experience as a business and/or project analyst with Tier-One ERP applications, preferable Oracle Enterprise One (JD Edwards)
  • 10 or more years of experience with delivery of JD Edwards application solutions or equivalent
  • Proven skills in business analysis, quality assurance and implementation of Tier-One ERP applications
  • Thorough understanding of ERP methodologies
  • Experience with integrating enterprise applications solutions like DSI, EDI, Salesforce, OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) is an asset
  • Knowledge of JDE Sales & Distribution, Manufacturing, and Inventory modules required
  • Knowledge of JDE Finance Modules is an asset

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Significant digital dexterity, e.g. using computer keyboard is required. Use of oral communication to perform work is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an open office concept. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.
