What you'll do

Canadian Tire is building a foundational Agentic AI platform to enable teams across the enterprise to design, deploy, govern, and scale AI agents safely and responsibly. We are looking for an Agentic AI Program Manager to lead the program execution, stakeholder alignment, delivery governance, and people leadership required to mature this capability from foundational build-out to enterprise adoption.

This is not a hands-on technical engineering role. However, the successful candidate must be comfortable working with technical, architecture, security, governance, data, cloud, vendor, and business teams. They should understand the business purpose of Agentic AI platform capabilities such as orchestration, identity, secure integrations, observability, evaluation, cost management, lifecycle management, and responsible AI governance.

The role will help ensure Canadian Tire’s Agentic AI platform is developed as a reusable enterprise capability, not a one-off implementation. Internal platform direction includes capabilities such as AI control plane, data ontology, semantic knowledge graph, tokenomics, AI development platform, AgentOps, and AI interaction security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise program responsible for building and maturing Canadian Tire’s foundational Agentic AI platform.

  • Manage integrated plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, decision logs, status reporting, and executive communications.

  • Coordinate across architecture, engineering, security, privacy, AI governance, data, cloud, infrastructure, vendor, and business stakeholders.

  • Support platform readiness and adoption, including onboarding materials, delivery playbooks, operating models, and path-to-production guidance.

  • Partner with technical teams to understand current and emerging platform capabilities, including Microsoft Foundry, agent hosting, identity integration, model access, observability, networking, and CI/CD evolution.

  • Track and escalate key delivery dependencies and platform maturity gaps, including items such as APIM, hosted agent libraries, ACR, evaluation framework, and environment readiness where applicable.

  • Provide clear, concise updates to senior leaders on progress, risks, trade-offs, funding considerations, decisions required, and future roadmap needs.

  • Monitor industry adoption of Agentic AI and help shape future platform capabilities and operating models for Canadian Tire.

  • Lead, coach, and support team members or matrixed contributors working across the Agentic AI program.

What you bring

Required

  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional technology, transformation, platform, or enterprise delivery programs.

  • Strong program management discipline, including roadmap planning, RAID management, executive reporting, dependency tracking, and governance cadence.

  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and create structure across fast-moving initiatives.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics into business and executive-level messaging.

  • Experience working with technical teams, architecture, security, governance, vendors, and senior stakeholders.

  • People leadership experience, either directly or through matrixed delivery teams.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology delivery, agile planning, release management, governance, and platform operating models.

Preferred

  • Experience in AI, data, cloud, automation, digital transformation, or enterprise platform programs.

  • Familiarity with Agentic AI, generative AI, AI agents, AI governance, responsible AI, cloud platforms, APIs, and integration patterns.

  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Foundry, Databricks, API management, or enterprise AI platforms.

  • Experience developing onboarding models, operating playbooks, adoption frameworks, or technology governance processes.

  • Experience in a large enterprise environment with multiple business, technology, vendor, and governance stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a structured, outcome-oriented program leader who can bring clarity to a fast-evolving space. They do not need to design the technical architecture, but they must be curious enough to understand the platform, ask the right questions, identify gaps, and communicate implications clearly.

They are comfortable engaging with architects, engineers, vendors, governance teams, and senior executives. They can manage near-term delivery while helping shape the longer-term roadmap for how Canadian Tire should adopt and evolve Agentic AI responsibly and at scale.
