We’re looking for an Accounting Manager to join our ever-evolving Global Accounting Operations Team and help shape the future of global commerce. In this role, you will lead a team located in India to support the delivery of the Accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong governance, and operational excellence. You’ll guide a high-performing team, influence global accounting processes, and partner with stakeholders worldwide to streamline accounting operations, strengthen controls, and drive scalable solutions that support Global Payments’ continued growth and success. 

What you'll own

  • Lead and elevate a high-performing accounting team that delivers accurate, timely, and compliant accounting results for the Corporate Functions while fostering accountability, development, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the month end close process by ensuring seamless completion of journal entries and flux analysis that support the integrity of internal and external financial reporting.
  • Strengthen financial accuracy and operational efficiency by identifying process gaps, resolving complex accounting issues, and implementing scalable improvements across global entities.
  • Influence accounting strategy and risk management through strong controls, effective governance, and proactive identification of risks within accounting activities.
  • Partner across Finance and business functions to deliver reliable financial insights, align global accounting practices, and support informed decision-making throughout the organization.

What you'll bring

  • 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility in financial reporting, month end close, variance analysis, reconciliation, inter-company, general accounting, accruals, compensation and benefits accounting, cost tracking, special projects.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting practices in general accounting.
  • Demonstrated success leading financial reporting, reconciliations, and close processes while driving accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to evaluate complex financial information, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, build partnerships across global teams, and lead through change.

It's a bonus if you have

  • Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms such as Oracle or SAP, reconciliation solutions such as Oracle ARCS or Blackline, and reporting tool such as Oracle FCCS or Hyperion.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and experience leading large-scale process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives.
