Position Title: Senior Analyst, Global Customer Intelligence
Position Type: Regular - Full-Time
Requisition ID: 43067
In every role, McCainers are ambitious, curious, and passionate about creating exceptional work experiences - together. With a customer-first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy.
About the role.
McCain feeds the world - and the way we grow is by helping the world's biggest food customers grow with us. Our retail, restaurant, and foodservice partners don't just want a supplier; they expect a strategic partner who brings sharper insight into their shoppers, menus, and categories than they have themselves.
This role sits at the intersection of analytics and storytelling, partnering directly with Sales Leaders who own McCain's global strategic customer relationships. You will develop a deep understanding of each customer's growth strategy, consumer behavior, and category dynamics, and translate that into compelling, insight-driven narratives that influence joint business planning, annual line reviews, and long-term growth strategies.
This is an "AND" role - for someone who is both a rigorous data analyst and a creative storyteller, capable of producing client-ready insights that are defensible, actionable, and impactful.
What you'll be doing.
  • Partner with Global Sales Leaders across strategic customers (Foodservice distributors, QSR, Retail) to identify growth opportunities supported by analytics
  • Source, integrate, and analyze diverse data sets including internal sales, syndicated panels, menu intelligence, foot traffic, and macro/category trends
  • Proactively identify and recommend new data sources or research approaches to enhance customer insight
  • Develop client-ready deliverables such as joint business review decks, category insight briefs, growth narratives, and executive newsletters
  • Create point-of-view analyses that move beyond reporting to clearly articulate "what's happening, why it matters, and what we should do next"
  • Present insights alongside Sales Leaders in customer meetings, explaining methodologies, defending assumptions, and addressing complex questions
  • Build scalable yet customizable templates and assets that maintain a high-quality, bespoke feel across multiple strategic customers
  • Collaborate with Global Commercial Analytics to align on shared data products and ensure a consistent source of truth
  • Partner with Regional Insights and Category teams to maximize business impact through integrated insights
  • Contribute to thought leadership by building communities of practice and leading insight-sharing sessions across regions and functions

What you'll need to be successful.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, customer insights, category management, or commercial analytics, ideally with external-facing deliverables
  • Strong analytical foundation with the ability to work across structured and unstructured data, form hypotheses, and distinguish signal from noise
  • Advanced Power BI skills, including dashboard development and working knowledge of DAX and Power Query
  • Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to independently write, read, and validate queries across enterprise data sources
  • Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives
  • Advanced PowerPoint (or equivalent) skills with a focus on clean design, strong visual hierarchy, and executive-ready outputs
  • Strong commercial and customer mindset, with the ability to frame insights around customer growth and end-consumer behavior
  • Executive presence and confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and customers
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice to have:
  • Experience in CPG, retail, or foodservice environments supporting national or global accounts
  • Experience with syndicated data sources (e.g., Circana/IRI, NielsenIQ, Datassential, Technomic, Placer.ai, Kantar, Numerator)
  • Experience delivering dynamic content formats (interactive dashboards, video insights, newsletters, microsites)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, SAP, Databricks, or similar CRM/ERP/data platforms
  • Basic design skills and familiarity with tools like Figma, Adobe Express, or Canva
  • Exposure to AI-assisted content tools (e.g., Copilot) with a point of view on their application
  • Experience working across regions and time zones in a global matrix organization

About the team.
You will be part of the Global Commercial Analytics team, working in close partnership with Global Sales Leaders, Regional Insights teams, and Category experts. This highly collaborative, cross-functional environment is focused on delivering insight-driven growth for McCain's largest and most strategic customers. The team values both analytical rigor and creative storytelling, with a shared commitment to producing work that directly impacts customer decisions at the highest level.
