Supports Torstar’s external communications strategy through media relations, news releases, executive briefing materials, communications calendars, brand campaigns, events, social media content, reporting, and vendor coordination. The role monitors media and social coverage, maintains contact databases, supports crisis communications, coordinates external outreach, and tracks campaign and event performance.

Part-time production editor responsible for gathering, editing, proofreading, validating, and preparing content for multiple print products. The role requires strong command of CP style, grammar, punctuation, headline writing, accuracy, and deadline management. Responsibilities include following up on missing details, completing routine production tasks, and collaborating effectively in a fast-paced newsroom environment. Evening and weekend shifts are required, with NewsGate/Cue Print experience considered an asset.

Own the full lifecycle of Torstar’s editorial and commercial email products, including roadmap strategy, newsletter development, ESP infrastructure, deliverability, audience growth, CASL compliance, analytics, and monetization. Partner with newsroom leaders, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to conduct research, prioritize backlogs, launch improvements, and optimize reader engagement, subscriptions, revenue, and user experience.
