Part-time production editor responsible for gathering, editing, proofreading, validating, and preparing content for multiple print products. The role requires strong command of CP style, grammar, punctuation, headline writing, accuracy, and deadline management. Responsibilities include following up on missing details, completing routine production tasks, and collaborating effectively in a fast-paced newsroom environment. Evening and weekend shifts are required, with NewsGate/Cue Print experience considered an asset.

Execute and manage email campaigns, including list imports, segmentation, scheduling, reporting, template creation, HTML/CSS troubleshooting, personalization, A/B testing, mobile and dark-mode optimization, and cross-platform quality assurance. Coordinate campaign assets, contact lists, calendars, and deployment requests across internal teams while monitoring audience conflicts and campaign performance.

Own the full lifecycle of Torstar’s editorial and commercial email products, including roadmap strategy, newsletter development, ESP infrastructure, deliverability, audience growth, CASL compliance, analytics, and monetization. Partner with newsroom leaders, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to conduct research, prioritize backlogs, launch improvements, and optimize reader engagement, subscriptions, revenue, and user experience.

Own and organize sales assets across multiple media brands, coordinate go-to-market launches, manage internal sales communications, support engagement reporting, and implement AI-driven workflow improvements. The role ensures advertising sellers have current, brand-compliant pitch materials and timely updates. It requires strong organization, communication, presentation development, spreadsheet skills, familiarity with digital advertising sales cycles, and regular use of AI tools.

Supports fundraising, donor engagement, grant applications, social media, volunteer recruitment and scheduling, charity program delivery, database maintenance, donation processing, and public inquiries. Manages Santa Claus Fund volunteer operations and agency-partner training, maintains donor data in Raiser's Edge NXT, develops engagement materials, and assists with Fresh Air Fund programs. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Sell print and digital advertising, hyper-local audience targeting, and event sponsorships to local businesses. Build and manage a territory, prospect and cold call, nurture client relationships, grow accounts, and meet sales targets. Use company-provided vehicle allowance, laptop, and smartphone; comply with PCI requirements when handling client credit card data.
