About the Role 

As a Workforce Management Specialist, your main focus will be to ensure optimal workforce planning and scheduling at the Sales Market level while supporting Area and Store management to deliver strong sales performance through optimized scheduling.  

This hybrid role reports into our Controlling Manager and is based out of our Toronto Support Office. 

A Day in the Life 

Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities* 

  • Set hourly function plan, including Store Management positions, for every store in line with sales market goals; ensure salary cost budget is considered when planning workplan 
  • Oversee the hourly function plan in alignment with Store Management to enable strong store operations, efficiency, and a great staff and customer experience 
  • Regularly follow up sales and hours planning in Stores, ensuring alignment between store operations and market-level targets 
  • Together with other teams in Controlling, secure strong operational execution by aligning function plan and schedules 
  • Support and educate Stores in aligning sales planning and scheduling with the aim to improve efficiency and secure great customer experience 
  • Work closely with Area Managers to collect and synthesize input regarding scheduling based on store visit observations, to drive improvement in workforce planning practices 

Who You Are:  

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably within Finance, Business Administration or Economics or equivalent experience 
  • 1 - 3 years of past retail experience, preferably in retail management 
  • 1 - 3 years in a business analyst or finance role 
  • Ability to coach and counsel staff and performance management 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 
  • Proficiency in sales and workforce planning tools and ability to adapt to company specific systems

Compensation: Salary $78,400
