OVERVIEW:

Multimatic is a privately held, global enterprise supplying engineered components, systems and services to the automotive industry. The company’s core competencies include the development and manufacture of complex mechanisms and body hardware, suspension systems and body structural components as well as the design, engineering and development of light weight composite automotive systems.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Workday Project Manager leads and manages the implementation of Workday (Phase 2 & 3) within our organization. This position oversees the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and deployment of Workday projects and operational initiatives alongside managing the continuous prioritization/ reprioritization of HRIS backlog with all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of functional and technical expertise in Workday, experience in leading at least two (2) Workday implementations. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent communication skills and hands-on experience to ensure successful project delivery. The position reports to the Director, Total Rewards and HR Systems and has one direct report.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Serve as corporate lead in all current phases of the implementation (in progress) and ongoing maintenance of Workday to further develop and deploy improved HR tools and processes throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with payroll/finance and IT, to ensure the organization is maximizing the ROI for the HRIS in all countries of operation with respect to all integration opportunities (i.e., time and attendance) and workflows.
  • Lead and manage the Workday implementation by coordinating project plans, resources, and timelines.
  • Provide hands-on functional and technical expertise in Workday HCM, including Core HR, Compensation, Time, Absence, Talent Management, and Reporting.
  • Oversee system configurations, integrations (with IT), testing, and deployment to production ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the HR leadership team for change management and training to drive user adoption and operational readiness.
  • Ensure system compliance with HR policies, data security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously assess system performance and recommend post-implementation improvements.
  • Participate in weekly project meeting with Workday and Multimatic team and report project progress to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • 5-10 years of experience in HR Systems Implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two (2) full-cycle Workday implementations as a Project Manager or Lead.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday modules such as HCM, Compensation, Talent Management, Time and Reporting.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
  • Expertise in both functional and technical aspects of Workday.
  • Experience in change management, stakeholder engagement, risk management and communication strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Workday certification(s) is a plus.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office environment – Onsite

This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be:

$110,000.00 - $160,000.00
