Job Description:

Sun Life is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Vice President, Global Brand & Growth Marketing to lead the evolution of our global brand, digital marketing, client-facing AI, and marketing technology capabilities. This is a highly strategic leadership role for an executive who thrives at the intersection of marketing, technology, innovation, and client experience.

Reporting to the SVP & Global Chief Client Experience & Marketing Officer, you will drive enterprise-wide strategies that strengthen Sun Life's position as a trusted partner for Clients, Advisors, Employees, and communities around the world. You will lead high-performing teams across brand, digital marketing, creative services, marketing technology, and AI-enabled client experiences while influencing senior leaders across multiple markets and functions.

What You'll Do

Lead Global Brand Strategy

• Shape and advance Sun Life's global brand strategy across consumer, business, and corporate audiences.
• Strengthen brand differentiation, reputation, and market positioning.
• Drive brand engagement and activation across geographies, business groups, and client touchpoints.
• Lead enterprise sponsorship and partnership strategies that enhance brand impact and business outcomes.

Accelerate Growth Through Digital Marketing

• Advance industry-leading digital marketing capabilities that support client growth, engagement, and retention.
• Champion data-driven marketing strategies, personalization, and innovation across digital channels.
• Partner with business leaders to translate emerging trends into scalable growth opportunities.

Drive AI & Marketing Innovation

• Lead the strategy, governance, and adoption of client-facing AI experiences.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology, data, and automation to improve client outcomes and create business value.
• Collaborate with technology, risk, compliance, legal, privacy, and communications leaders to ensure responsible innovation.

Elevate Marketing Technology & Enterprise Capabilities

• Define the strategic direction for Sun Life's marketing technology ecosystem.
• Advance digital analytics, publishing capabilities, and enterprise marketing effectiveness.
• Demonstrate measurable business impact through enhanced client experiences and marketing performance.

Inspire Teams & Enterprise Leadership

• Lead a global, multidisciplinary team of marketing professionals.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth.
• Influence senior stakeholders and build strong partnerships across business units, markets, and enterprise functions.

What You'll Bring

• 12+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience within large, complex organizations.
• Proven expertise in brand strategy, digital marketing, marketing technology, data-driven marketing, and business growth.
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams in highly matrixed environments.
• Strong understanding of AI-enabled client experiences and modern marketing practices.
• Exceptional executive presence, communication, and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives and deliver measurable business outcomes.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
