Job Description:
The business is growing, and with it, our HR team! To support our continued growth, we are looking to bring a rockstar VP, People and Culture onto the team. In this role you will lead initiatives across the business spanning talent acquisition, employee experience, talent management and everything in between. We are seeking a passionate HR leader who thrives in a growth-oriented, results-driven and entrepreneurial environment. Key areas of focus will be leading programs that drive attraction and retention of top talent, fostering a best-in-class employee experience, and playing the role of coach and advisor to senior leadership. Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead our incredible People and Culture team including Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and People Operations
- Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning to ensure the recruitment of top talent.
- Recommend and implement programs, processes and tools to enable the organization to attract and retain high quality employees (KEVites)
- Manage compensation, benefits, and other people programs and offerings
- Partner with leaders across the business to support them with all people-related matters
- Play a key role in the integration of acquired companies both from a cultural and HR process perspective
- Collaborate with leadership to identify learning and development opportunities to promote a work environment that fosters learning and growth
Requirements and Skills:
- Previous experience as a senior People & Culture leader in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Ability to act at a strategic advisory level, but also the ability to “roll up your sleeves” where needed
- Experience developing and implementing culture, performance management and rewards and recognition programs
- Ability to build trust with executive leadership teams and become a strategic business partner across the organization
- Previous experience being an integral part of the recruitment process for senior-level roles
- Strong knowledge of employment law, regulation, and best practices in Canada and US experience as well
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the importance of the People Strategy to the achievement of the Company’s overall strategic goals
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and the ups and downs of an entrepreneurial, growing business
- Direct management of complex employee relations issues
- Mergers and acquisitions experience, integrating new businesses and employees culturally and functionally
