JOB PURPOSE:
McCain Foods is seeking a Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP) - Global Operations & Growth to drive and execute a strategic people agenda that aligns with our business goals. This role is a key partner to senior leadership, playing a critical role in shaping organizational capability, talent management, and change leadership on a global scale.
You will lead a global approach to workforce planning, leadership development, and organizational transformation. Leveraging business insights, you will drive meaningful change and provide expert guidance on how organizational shifts impact our people.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the VP, Global HRBP, with a dotted line to the Chief Operations & Growth Officer, you will support over 400 employees across:

  • Global Network Operations (Manufacturing, Global Technical Operations, Food Safety & Quality)
  • Health & Safety
  • Global Engineering
  • Global Procurement & Sustainable Cost Advantage
  • Global Supply Chain


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop & execute a strategic people agenda aligned with business goals
  • Lead change management efforts to support transformation and growth
  • Coach & influence senior leaders to enhance leadership effectiveness
  • Shape organizational design & workforce planning to optimize performance
  • Lead talent development, succession planning & capability building
  • Partner cross-functionally with HR, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and OD teams
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, labor laws & best practices


SKILLS & CAPABILTIES FOR SUCCESS:

  • Business Acumen & Strategic Agility: Deep understanding of how HR strategies drive business success
  • Change Leadership: Ability to influence, drive transformation, and manage organizational change
  • Talent Development & Workforce Planning: Expertise in succession planning, leadership development, and career pathing
  • Data & Insights Driven Approach: Use of HR metrics to shape decisions and measure success
  • Influencing & Relationship Building: Strong ability to engage and partner with senior business leaders
  • Operational Excellence: Skilled in executing HR initiatives in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Strong knowledge of HR policies, regulations, and best practices
  • Communication & Coaching: Ability to deliver impactful messages, facilitate discussions, and provide leadership coaching


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • 7-10+ years of senior HR experience, ideally in CPG/Food & Beverage Manufacturing
  • A strategic mindset with strong business acumen
  • Proven success in leading organizational change & transformation
  • Ability to navigate complex, global HR landscapes
  • HR certifications, coaching credentials, or an advanced degree are assets


Compensation Package : $146,200.00 - $195,000.00 CAD annually + bonus eligibility + Long Term Incentive eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
