This role is based out of office in Toronto, ON.What You Will Be Working On
Manipulate and maintain 3D models for use during preconstruction and construction phases for specific projects.
Perform quality assurance of models provided by architects, design engineers & fabricators to ensure adherence to required levels of information and graphical standards
Generate 3D and 4D site logistics plans.
Create 4D visualizations to communicate Schedule and sequence of work.
Manage coordination of work with subcontractors utilizing Revizto including running clash detection, documenting clashes, and tracking resolution through clash reports.
Create Model based Quantity Takeoffs to support Estimating teams
Liaise with architects, consulting engineers, subcontractors and suppliers regarding contract and change notices, design revisions, RFIs, RFQs, etc.
Experience capturing and processing reality capture.
Prepare and participate in meetings with project team, architects, consultants and subcontractors.
Identify and coordinate deficiencies and project risks in a timely manner.
Maintain awareness of project status and proactively communicate updates and potential issues to the project manager and key stakeholders.
Educate and coordinate with the Project team to raise District understanding of VDC programs and trainings.
Develop and define the VDC scopes of works for the disciplines that require fabrication models, redlines, and as-built models.
Diploma or degree from a recognized BIM, architectural, engineering or construction management program (minimum 2-year program).
5 years of project coordination experience using virtual construction tools.
Demonstrated experience in a project support role, preferably with an ICI General Contractor.
Strong hands-on expertise with key BIM and VDC tools, including Revit, Revizto, and Synchro (4D planning) is required.
Experience with Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC/BIM 360) is required, while familiarity with tools such as Assemble Systems, CM Builder, and dRofus is considered an asset.
Ability to read and interpret contract specifications, drawings and other construction documents.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage diverse project stakeholders.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying risks and driving solutions.
