Our challenge

We are looking for a passionate UX Designer to join our team with extensive experience in UI/UX design, including designing web and mobile applications. Experience leading and managing design teams and Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $130k – CAD $140k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the UI/UX design team at Synechron to deliver innovative, user-centered designs that meet business and customer requirements.
  • Define and execute the design vision for projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with product management, development, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide design recommendations that drive customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Manage the development and delivery of wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity visual designs.
  • Ensure that all designs are accessible, usable, and meet industry standards for quality and performance.


Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs for web and mobile applications.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, including typography, color theory, and composition.
  • Expertise in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Ability to conduct user research and apply customer insights to inform design decisions.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deliverables.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in graphic design, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
