The Role
Square is looking for talented and organized Benefits Operations Coordinator to support our People - Benefits Operations Team. The Benefits Operations team is responsible for supporting and streamlining US Benefits. This is a full time role reporting to the US Benefits Operations Manager.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in an "all hands on deck" environment, can wear multiple hats, and enjoys interacting with people. You are organized, detail-oriented, like to move fast and know when to be flexible.
You Will

  • Oversee benefits processing in Workday for new hires, terminations, and qualified life events
  • Provide administrative support for EOIs and integration error reviews by partnering with Square's insurance carriers and our HRIS tool, Workday
  • Partner with the Business Systems team to resolve benefits-related system issues, implement process improvements, and test system changes
  • Respond to Tier 2 employee queries via Jira ticketing system and support the Benefits team on all operational needs.
  • Provide functional support to employees needing assistance with Benefits Employee Self Services (ESS) transactions
  • Process and track weekly and monthly invoices from all Benefits vendors
  • Review accommodation requests to ensure all proper documentation is provided and assist with scheduling interactive sessions
  • Support the planning of annual open enrollment and other benefits changes throughout the year
  • Handle all outplacement service requests
  • Process personal and administrative leave requests and assist with confirming return to work dates for all leaves as needed
  • Collaborate with Benefits Program Managers on special projects, open enrollment and more
  • Ensure company compliance with yearly audits, plan documents and all federal, state, and local laws
  • Respond to government notices and ensure reporting requirements are met in a timely manner, including required notice distribution


You Have

  • 2-3+ years of previous Benefits experience
  • Experience using Workday HCM (Workday Benefits is a plus)
  • Familiar with Jira or similar ticketing tracking system
  • Advance experience with google docs and Microsoft Office a plus
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data
  • Passionate about developing efficient processes and driving results
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of benefits federal, state, and local laws

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
