Transport Specialist

As we continue to transform our operations, we are looking for a Transport Specialist to join our team and help optimize transportation processes across the region.

The compensation for this position is between $78,200 and $97,700 annually, based on experience and qualifications

What You’ll Do

As a Transportation Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely transportation operations. Your responsibilities include:

  • Optimize Transportation Spend: Manage transportation budgets, analyze costs, and track KPIs to drive financial efficiency.

  • Vendor & Carrier Management: Manage our transportation service provider while being the conduit between the MSP, commercial team, and the DC network. Maintain and develop relationships with our key carriers holding QBR on performance.

  • Coordinate Complex Shipments: Oversee shipments outside the Managed Service Provider (MSP) scope, including 3PL movements, asset transfers, production components, inbound raw materials, finished goods, and returns.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery and operational excellence.

  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Partner with Global Procurement, North American Strategic Sourcing, Operations, and Corporate functions to align transportation strategies with business goals.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience:

    • 3–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.

    • Familiarity with North American transportation regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

    • Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau).

  • Certifications (Preferred):

    • APICS CSCP, CTL, or similar supply chain certifications.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on cost optimization.

    • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

    • Collaborative mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
