By collaborating across teams and aligning CCB and CTPO frameworks, you help deliver process improvements and effective oversight for third-party relationships.

The Associate, Program Governance - Third Party Joint Objectives, will play a pivotal role in supporting the execution and enhancement of third-party governance initiatives within the Consumer & Community Banking organization. This position is designed to promote alignment between Consumer & Community Banking and Chief Third Party Officer frameworks, focusing on supplier risk management, control assessments, feedback mechanisms, and process improvements. The Associate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to ensure effective management of third-party supplier risk and the successful implementation of framework enhancement opportunities.

The Associate, Program Governance - Third Party Joint Objectives, will play a pivotal role in supporting the execution and enhancement of third-party governance initiatives within the Consumer & Community Banking organization. This position is designed to promote alignment between Consumer & Community Banking and Chief Third Party Officer frameworks, focusing on supplier risk management, control assessments, feedback mechanisms, and process improvements. The Associate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to ensure effective management of third-party supplier risk and the successful implementation of framework enhancement opportunities.
Job responsibilities:
- Support planning, tracking, and execution of joint third-party governance projects and initiatives.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, documenting action items, and maintaining project plans and status reports.
- Contribute to the design and execution of supplier lifecycle activities in alignment with Third-Party Oversight Standards and enhanced framework requirements.
- Assist in mapping governance structures, documenting roles and responsibilities, and supporting incident management and escalation procedures.
- Help monitor compliance with third-party risk management standards, control requirements, and audit readiness.
- Support the enhancement of supplier control assessments, including data collection, validation, and reporting on supplier risk indicators and remediation progress.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Delivery Managers, business leaders, and executive sponsors, to facilitate project activities and ensure alignment with joint objectives.
- Draft communications, presentations, and updates tailored for executive and cross-functional audiences.
- Gather data, identify gaps, and support the implementation of new procedures, tools, and workflow solutions, including AI/ML-enabled risk management for lower-risk supplier engagements.
- Contribute to the development and tracking of quality improvement actions and feedback loops and assess training needs, assist in developing and updating training materials and job aids, and support delivery of training sessions.
- Collect feedback to refine training content and support ongoing advisory activities and help organize and facilitate workshops, working groups, and feedback sessions to drive consensus and action on joint objectives and deliverables.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to structure and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communicator, able to tailor messaging for executive and cross-functional audiences.
- Proactive team player with a growth mindset and intellectual curiosity.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions and with senior stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience in outsourcing, regulatory, or operational risk management.
- Familiarity with third-party risk management frameworks and reporting.
- Experience supporting governance, policy, or training initiatives.
- Advanced degree preferred.
