The Position

The Technology Product Owner Specialist (PO) or Sub-Product Owner in Roche PT's Network Quality QA/QC Operational Systems team plays a pivotal role in standardizing and optimizing the systems and technology that power Quality operations and data insights. The PO is responsible for defining and implementing the overall Technology strategy for PT Quality, acting as the Global Product Owner for applicable PT technologies. A core function of the role is translating complex business use cases and requirements into standardized, compliant technology solutions, requiring a blend of technical expertise and business acumen. The PO collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Business, IT, and Validation, to ensure that high-quality, innovative solutions are defined, developed, and implemented. The role also involves managing the global master data entity and assisting the organization with expertise during regulatory inspections and the resolution of deviations.

This position requires a collaborative and open-minded individual who is capable of maintaining and transforming integral technologies while valuing continuous learning. The successful candidate must be someone who thoughtfully challenges ideas, prioritizes impactful work, and can be relied upon to operate in the best interest of the team, thriving in a dynamic work environment.

The Opportunity:

  • Drive System Strategy: Serve as a global Technology PT Product Owner for QMS technologies (specifically Quality Vault QMS but can include Veeva Quality Docs ), effectively translating complex business requirements into standardized technical solutions.

  • Manage Lifecycle & Governance: Direct the entire system lifecycle—including upgrades, system replacements, and retirements—while strictly adhering to established change management processes.

  • Shape Product Roadmaps: Partner closely with key Business Stakeholders and IT to define the product vision, align roadmaps, manage feature backlogs, and prioritize system enhancements.

  • Ensure Compliance & Data Stewardship: Act as the dedicated Business Data Steward, ensuring unwavering GxP compliance, strict data governance, and adherence to global quality policies.

  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Mobilize and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams spanning global Learning departments, business stakeholders, IT partners, and validation functions.

  • Optimize Processes & Systems: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage deviations and CAPAs, and oversee master data validation within validated quality systems.

  • Govern the Veeva QMS System : Manage the integration and structural nuances of the Veeva QMS and or Quality Docs ecosystem, ensuring seamless data flow, reporting, and interface connectivity across global manufacturing and commercial sites.

Who You are:

  • You possess deep technical expertise: You bring 7+ years of experience in Veeva Quality Vault or equivalent Quality platform management—specifically Veeva QMS and Veeva Quality Docs.

  • You are strategically and academically qualified: You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field (or an equivalent qualification like a Federal Diploma of Higher Education) combined with a proven track record in formulating long-term computer system strategies.

  • You are an expert in regulated environments: You possess a strong understanding of data integrity, data analytics, and software validation within validated or controlled pharmaceutical/healthcare environments (GMP, FDA, GxP).

  • You are an Agile collaborator and communicator: You are highly skilled at utilizing Agile methodologies and possess exceptional communication skills to convey technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are an Agile collaborator, skilled at utilizing Agile methodologies to manage product backlogs and successfully adapting iterative delivery to meet strict computer system validation (CSV) and GxP release requirements.

  • You are a proactive problem solver: You possess a technical foundation paired with sharp business acumen, allowing you to troubleshoot intricate system issues, navigate escalation paths through ServiceNOW, and adapt setups to meet diverse site-specific needs.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Mississauga is 115,328.00 and 151,368.00 of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors as determined by the company.
