Scribendi is looking for a Product Manager who can think strategically, move fast, and execute relentlessly.

This is a high-visibility role in which you will help shape the future of Scribendi's product ecosystem—an ambitious suite of AI-enhanced tools that accelerates scientific research, simplifies collaboration, and transforms how researchers develop and publish their work.

As the bridge between Product Design, Engineering, and the CPTO, you'll turn vision into reality. You'll own roadmaps, lead discovery, drive execution, and deliver products that fundamentally improve the way researchers work.

If you thrive in high-impact environments, love building elegant solutions to complex problems, and want your work to accelerate scientific discovery and improve lives, we'd love to meet you.

Our mission is to harness the power of technology and innovation to expedite scientific research and manuscript development, foster and simplify collaboration among researchers, enhance the likelihood of successful publication, and ultimately accelerate the pace of scientific discovery—driving impactful change across the global scientific community.

Our goal is simple but ambitious: to create tools that advance scientific research and directly improve the human experience.

This posting is for an existing vacancy. Please note that this role does require regular in-person meetings.

What You'll Do

  • Own the product roadmap for Scribendi's platforms—translating CPTO strategy into clear priorities and execution plans.
  • Drive high-velocity delivery, ensuring predictable, timely releases with clear and measurable impact.
  • Lead day-to-day project management, ensuring timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and risks are managed with clarity, structure, and discipline.
  • Lead product discovery through user interviews, experimentation, and data-driven insights to deeply understand users' needs and pain points.
  • Define and improve core KPIs, including conversion, retention, activation, engagement, and expert efficiency.
  • Partner with Product Design to shape intuitive, elegant, and high-performing user experiences aligned with our design system and brand.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering to define requirements, manage scope, and deliver high-quality features rapidly and consistently.
  • Work with QA and DevOps to uphold product reliability, security, and operational stability.
  • Maintain Monday.com as the source of truth, ensuring clarity around priorities, blockers, risks, and decisions.
  • Streamline processes to increase development velocity, reduce friction, and foster higher-quality releases.
  • Represent the voice of our users, grounding decisions in real user behavior, feedback, and data.
  • Support both the existing business and future AI-driven product expansions, shifting seamlessly between operational execution and innovation.

Requirements
  • Must have taken a product to market.
  • A strategic operator who can balance big-picture thinking with disciplined execution.
  • A structured thinker who can simplify complexity and turn ambiguity into clarity.
  • A data-informed decision-maker, comfortable with experimentation, analytics, and KPI-driven prioritization.
  • A strong communicator who aligns teams, clarifies expectations, and builds trust across functions.
  • A cross-functional partner who thrives working with Engineering, Product Design, QA, DevOps, and leadership.
  • A user-first Product Manager who deeply understands user workflows and builds solutions that reduce friction and deliver value.
  • Technically fluent, able to discuss architecture, APIs, feasibility, and trade-offs with confidence. You don't need to code, but you must be comfortable in technical environments.
  • Execution focused, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to push projects over the finish line.
  • An organized and disciplined project manager who can coordinate multiple workstreams, manage dependencies, and keep teams aligned without relying on micromanagement or heavy process.
  • Adaptable and resilient, thriving in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
  • Outcome oriented, always asking, "What impact does this create for users or the business?"
  • Mission driven, motivated by advancing science and improving the human experience through technology
  • Experience with academic manuscript development or scholarly publishing workflows, enabling a deeper understanding of researcher needs, timelines, and quality standards

Some Technologies You'll Work With

  • Product stack: Figma, Monday.com, Jira, MS Clarity, Crazy Egg, HubSpot, analytics dashboards
  • Engineering stack: React, Next.js, TypeScript, PHP, Tailwind CSS, Python, GCP
  • Data infrastructure: BigQuery, Metabase, KPI dashboards, analytics pipelines
