Technical Manager, Configuration Management

AtkinsRéalis is one of Canada’s largest private sector nuclear engineering groups. We have been providing a wide range of services to the nuclear industry in Canada and around the world since for more than 60 years. We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology.

This role will be based in Mississauga. ON.

Your role within the team:

  • Prepare the project Configuration Management Plan (and update it as required).
  • Execute the Configuration Management Plan over the Project Lifecycle.
  • Oversee the management of Configuration Items (including verification of the final configuration) and supporting the change management process.
  • Analysis of issues relating to Configuration Management (and propose solutions).

Configuration Management items include:

  • MONARK design parameters lists.
  • Equipment list.
  • Change control process and status.
  • Requirements management.
  • Feedback/OPEX management.
  • Interface with internal and external stake holders as required supporting the Director of Technical Services with external queries and presentations.
  • Providing necessary progress inputs to the Project Management Team to support overall progress tracking.
  • Ensure adherence to company quality program.

The ideal candidate:

  • Familiar with the Nuclear plant design process.
  • Strong communicator.
  • Computer literate (Database Management experience an asset).
  • Analytical/Structured Thinker / Detail Oriented.
  • Ability to work with team members and stakeholders including multiple discipline engineering organization.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience design/analysis, preferably providing design solutions for CANDU nuclear power plants or BWR/PWR markets.
  • Experience with managing a small team.
  • Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
