Technical Lead, Mobile Apps (React Native) - (Software development Lead)

WHAT IS THE DAY TO DAY LIKE (Your Dual Mandate)

This role offers a unique balance between hands-on engineering and strategic leadership. As a core member of our cross-functional team of leads, your time will be split between two crucial areas:

Technology Leadership & Implementation: You will lead and implement forward-looking improvements for our mobile applications and technology stack, which includes a server-driven layout, with customized rules per brand and market. This means being hands-on with cutting-edge, modern React Native frameworks like Expo and architecting solutions using the New Architecture (Fabric/TurboModules).

Engineering Excellence & Mentorship: You will guide software development standards across the mobile apps realm. This includes actively mentoring and influencing the growth of other software developers, ensuring efficient feature delivery, and bringing the latest technologies into practice

We are a Continuous Deployment shop, aiming to get code to users instantly so we can learn, iterate, and innovate immediately

WE ARE HOPING THAT YOU HAVE (The Non-Negotiables)

Experience & Mastery: 6–8 years of overall software development experience, including 4–5 years dedicated to high-scale React Native application development.

Modern React Native Architecture: Deep expertise in concurrent rendering, modern React Native architecture, and building sophisticated cross-platform design systems.

Quality Assurance Champion: Proven expertise in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and robust unit and functional testing methodologies.

DevOps Fluent: Strong experience working with Continuous Delivery pipelines and practical knowledge of Firebase or other modern cloud infrastructure platforms.

Architecture & Design: Working knowledge of OOP techniques, design patterns, Clean Code, and Clean Architecture.

Agile Leadership: Proven ability to mentor developers and technically steer agile teams towards complex product completion

A HUGE PLUS (Highly Desired)

Experience writing native code (Kotlin or Swift) to build custom, high-performance React Native bridges.

Experience with Full Stack development in Node or Go Lang.
