Multimatic is expanding the use of Siemens Teamcenter Active Workspace (web client) across engineering. We have an initial proof of concept in place and need a hands-on specialist to help bring it to a level that works for the entire organization.

This role is technical and practical. You will be directly involved in configuring, extending, and maintaining Teamcenter Active Workspace working alongside strong engineers who understand our design workflows but not the underlying Teamcenter architecture (BMIDE, reporting, stylesheets, etc.). This is not a consulting, advisory, or people management role. The deployment is specific to a Teamcenter Active Workspace deployment, not the Rich Client, but a working knowledge of Rich Client is important for backend configuration.

Responsibilities

  • Establish clear, maintainable patterns for configuration, data modeling, and deployment

  • Configure and maintain the Teamcenter data model using BMIDE (business objects, attributes, LOVs, relations, rules)

  • Test configuration and data model changes to ensure successful deployment without negatively affecting existing implementation

  • Manage deployments across environments and ensure changes are controlled and understandable by others

  • Edit and maintain Active Workspace stylesheets (XRT) to control create pages, summary views, and attribute visibility

  • Work closely with internal engineers, explaining how the system works and the rationale behind design decisions

  • Produce clear documentation and run books so the system does not depend on tribal knowledge

Mandatory Qualifications

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter in a production environment

  • Strong working knowledge of BMIDE and Teamcenter data model concepts.

  • Direct experience with Teamcenter Active Workspace (configuration and administration; experience with Rich Client alone is not sufficient)

  • Experience editing or maintaining Active Workspace stylesheets (XRT) or equivalent UI configuration

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Knowledge of Teamcenter Dispatcher Client application and troubleshooting

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with others while confidently making technical decisions.

Nice to Have Qualifications

  • Experience with Teamcenter reporting / PLMXML / report builder concepts

  • Experience with at least one of NX or CATIA V5 in an engineering environment

  • MultiCAD or OEM/supplier data exchange experience

  • Hands-on experience with SOA and ITK customization

  • Knowledge of Teamcenter Workflow creation, modification and Workflow handlers
