YOUR TEAM

Behind the scenes of our projects, our administrative departments ensure that every initiative is given its due. They intervene at various stages of development, supporting and accompanying the Moment Factory teams. You'll be part of a passionate team that thrives on project diversity, varied production cycles and a wide range of customers.


YOUR MISSION

The Team Lead - Accounting works closely with and reports to the Financial Controller. You act as a manager for the team's accounting technicians and as a business partner with the various teams within the company and its subsidiaries.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accounting cycle
  • Supervise various accounting activities such as the process of payables, receivables, banks, credit cards and expense accounts, ensuring that deadlines are met, for all company subsidiaries (Canadian and international);
  • Follow-up with project teams for accounts receivable collection;
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions;
  • Oversee the preparation of tax returns for the company and its international subsidiaries;
  • Help manage the priorities of the team's accounting technicians;
  • Responsible for supporting project teams with urgent transactions;
  • Responsible for supporting the team with anomaly management;
  • Identify training needs of accounting technicians to help them develop their skills.

  • Responsible for optimizing the various accounting processes of the company and its subsidiaries;
  • Participate in various continuous improvement projects for the team's activities;
  • Analyze, develop and recommend beneficial changes to the team's current processes, in conjunction with the ERP system and system automations, to make them more efficient;
  • Propose recommendations in line with the company's accounting principles and processes.

YOUR JOURNEY INCLUDES

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent;
  • Knowledge of consumption tax rules (sales taxes) in Canada and the United States (international experience is a plus);
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Experience in personnel management and team talent development;
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus);
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel);
  • Professional proficiency in both French and English, oral and written (you will need to communicate in English with both internal and external collaborators).
