YOUR IMPACT STARTS HERE

We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Canadian HR team in Brampton, Ontario. In this role, you’ll take ownership of full-cycle recruitment across a diverse portfolio of hourly and salaried roles, including manufacturing, operations, sales and management. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers to understand their business needs, develop targeted sourcing strategies and deliver an engaging candidate experience. You’ll also help improve our recruitment processes and explore how AI and other tools can make recruitment more effective. This is an opportunity to help shape the team behind Victaulic’s growth in Canada.

WHAT YOU’LL BUILD & OWN

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment across Canada, from intake meetings and sourcing through interviews, selection and employment offers.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, develop recruitment strategies and provide advice on talent availability, candidate selection and hiring decisions.
  • Build talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, LinkedIn, employee referrals, networking and targeted outreach, including for hard-to-fill sales and specialized roles.
  • Create compelling job postings and manage opportunities across our applicant tracking system (ATS), LinkedIn, Indeed and other relevant channels.
  • Assess candidates through resume screening, structured and behavioural interviews, and relevant assessments, focusing on skills, experience and role requirements.
  • Coordinate interviews, facilitate hiring team debriefs and provide clear recommendations to support timely, well-informed decisions.
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience through clear communication, timely follow-up and a professional, respectful recruitment process.
  • Prepare employment offers and coordinate approvals with the HR Director and hiring managers.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment data; track hiring progress and use recruitment metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support AI adoption and utilization in recruitment, identifying practical ways to improve sourcing, outreach, administrative workflows and reporting. Review AI-generated outputs for accuracy and apply sound judgment, confidentiality and fairness.
  • Strengthen our employer brand by representing Victaulic at career events and building relationships with recruitment agencies and other talent sources.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to recruitment processes, tools and practices.
  • Contribute to broader HR initiatives as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of recruitment experience in a corporate, agency or blended environment, with demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruitment.
  • Strong direct sourcing and talent pipeline development skills, including experience using LinkedIn and other sourcing channels.
  • Experience recruiting across a range of hourly and salaried positions.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Experience using AI tools to support recruitment or related workflows, with an interest in learning and adopting new applications. Ability to evaluate outputs critically and recognize privacy, bias and accuracy considerations.
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills, including structured and behavioural interviewing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage candidates and advise hiring managers.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing hiring priorities.
  • A collaborative, service-oriented approach and the confidence to offer recommendations and move hiring decisions forward.
