The Associate Systems Engineer will support VFX infrastructure and technology for the business

The Associate Systems Engineer will support both Windows and Linux desktop infrastructure, as well as support the other members of the group with duties across all areas of technology. They will collaborate with IT, support, and engineering teams to ensure people and infrastructure are able to function. Answer helpdesk support and queries and escalate issues to other team members, document IT functions and data-center inventory on an on-going basis and participate in companywide IT projects and initiatives supporting the local engineering team. WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will bring previous experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. They will bring hands-on experience with Linux and Windows desktops. - Strong understanding of Linux and Windows Desktops
- Understanding of virtualization technologies
- Understanding of automation of IT and Engineering tasks
- Understanding of Windows Server technologies such as Active Directory
- Understanding of networking principles and protocols.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds for datacenter tasks.
- Prior experience in VFX and media & entertainment environments is a huge asset.
- Understanding of networking principles and protocols
- Work on site 4 days a week.
- Participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call rotations.
