We are currently seeking a highly motivated Supervisor, Digital Investment & Activation, to join our growing team. This person will be fluent in paid Search marketing (SEM) and have a broad understanding of Audio, Programmatic and Social planning and execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Champion the team's adherence to all internal processes, from asset trafficking, to campaign setup and QA, ensuring a high standard of accuracy and operational excellence.

  • Manage and develop junior team members, focusing on their growth in programmatic strategy, platform expertise, and client communication.

  • Provide ongoing, hands-on training on DSP best practices, bidding strategies, audience tactics, and emerging programmatic technologies.

  • Lead the interview process for junior programmatic roles.

Programmatic Strategy & Planning – 20%

  • Develop complex programmatic media strategies, from audience targeting and data application to inventory selection and measurement.

  • Lead the creation of programmatic recommendations for client presentations, translating complex platform capabilities into clear, actionable plans.

  • Incorporate data from Horizon’s planning tools and insights from DSPs to build data-driven, full-funnel programmatic approaches.

  • Lead brainstorms to bring innovative programmatic ideas to life, including new formats, data partnerships, and measurement opportunities (e.g., brand lift studies, conversion lift).

  • Monitor trends in the programmatic ecosystem (e.g., identity solutions, SPO, privacy) and apply that knowledge to evolve client strategies.

Campaign Management & Execution – 20%

  • Set up programmatic campaigns, including configuring targeting, bids, budgets, creative assets, and tracking prior to QA.

  • Act as the final checkpoint for campaign setups, ensuring meticulous QA before launch.

  • Act as an escalation point for the team on complex campaign challenges, from performance plateaus to tracking and attribution issues.

  • Ensure proper protocol for pixel implementation, trafficking, and conversion tracking is followed by junior team members to guarantee data accuracy.

  • Act as a key resource for the team on in-flight campaign pacing, troubleshooting, brand safety validation, and optimization challenges.

Relationship Management – 10%

  • Foster strong relationships with key programmatic partners (DSPs, data providers, exchanges) to unlock strategic opportunities, explore new beta tests, and resolve technical issues.

  • Act as a primary programmatic resource and trusted partner for clients in addition to the AD, confidently leading discussions on campaign performance, optimizations & strategies.

  • Facilitate seamless collaboration between the programmatic team and other internal departments (Ad Ops, Planning, Ops, etc.)

Programmatic Buying & Negotiation – 10%

  • Oversee the programmatic deal process, from negotiating PMPs and Programmatic Guaranteed deals to troubleshooting deal ID delivery and performance.

  • Act as the final point of escalation for partner negotiations, focusing on driving value beyond the CPM.

  • Act as a strong advocate for agency-preferred partners, ensuring their strategic value is integrated into programmatic media plans from the initial planning stage.

Reporting & Analysis – 15%

  • Guide the team to move beyond top-line reporting and deliver deep, data-driven insights from within the DSPs, connecting performance back to strategic goals.

  • Act as the primary resource for junior team members as they develop optimization strategies based on performance data across display & video.

  • Take ownership of the accurate delivery and clear presentation of all programmatic performance analyses to the client.

Who You Are

  • A strong communicator and presenter, able to make complex programmatic concepts simple and clear.

  • A left- and right-brain thinker, balancing data-driven analysis with creative strategy.

  • A collaborative, team-oriented manager with strong delegation and organization skills.

  • A proactive problem-solver with the foresight to anticipate campaign and team challenges.

  • Meticulously detail-oriented, especially when it comes to campaign setup and QA.

  • Nimble and flexible to succeed in the fast-paced, ever-changing programmatic environment.

  • Excited to lead, coach, and mentor the next generation of programmatic experts.

  • An advocate for and supporter of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of media experience with a primary focus on hands-on-keyboard programmatic activation.

  • Expert-level proficiency in DV360, ideally also in Amazon DSP & TTD.

  • Strong expertise with all programmatic buying methods (Open Exchange, PMP, PG).

  • Thorough understanding of third-party ad servers (e.g., Campaign Manager 360) and verification tools (e.g., DoubleVerify, IAS).

  • Proven ability to negotiate with vendors, manage deal IDs, PGs, and troubleshoot delivery issues.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently present programmatic strategies and results both internally and to clients.

  • Leadership and supervisory experience in developing programmatic media professionals.
