ABOUT SUMMER SQUAD

This is a paid internship program that will give our interns valuable exposure and skill-building opportunities within several of our departments. Salt XC’s internship will consist of a 4-month long contract from May 5th to August 29th, 2025, with opportunity for a contract extension beyond this date. 


Over the duration of the program, you can expect opportunities to network, meet Salters across other departments, participate in additional Learning & Development Opportunities, and receive mentorship from those currently in their desired field. 


Applications are open to current post-secondary students and recent graduates. We also welcome applicants from historically underrepresented groups, or professionals with less than 3 years of experience, making a career transition and looking to take the next step in their career. 

 

ABOUT THIS ROLE 

The Summer Squad "Accounts" Team roles are perfect for marketers who want to grow their skills as a marketing generalist through supporting experiential marketing projects. At your core, you are a project and event coordinator that loves thinking about the event details. You’ll be working in a collaborative team environment on your account, bringing your project to life with the help of several other departments at Salt.  

As an Account Coordinator, no two weeks will ever be quite the same. This is a role for candidates who love a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You’ll enjoy a mix of time in-office and in-field, overseeing the production and execution of activations all summer.  

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting in planning and executing in-field activations across a variety of clients. 
  • Assisting in planning and executing activation footprint across some of the most exciting events 
  • Attend events across lead programs to monitor activation and logistics of on-site functioning 
  • Assist with set-up and tear down of all activations and adapt to obstacles in-field 
  • Managing vendor and supplier relations and assist in asset sourcing 
  • Managing and tracking purchases within budget outlined for specific program 
  • Field Team/Brand Ambassador training and management 
  • Understanding client needs and product/ services to ensure we are delivering on activation objectives 
  • Communicate with clients as required to understand their needs and communicate back to your manager and/or team and execute accordingly
  • Support your team with additional projects that support either the client or Salt on a day-to-day basis
