Job Description
Our growing Infrastructure team in Mississauga is looking for a new member of our BIM team within our structural group specializing in Water and Wastewater Infrastructure. You will work on water and wastewater infrastructure projects, the original sustainable projects.
Our projects include everything water and wastewater related, water storage, pumping facilities, treatment facilities, equipment storage buildings, administration, and laboratory buildings too. We are part of a larger team that provides full multidiscipline support for each project.
You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, working from home and in our Kitchener or Ottawa offices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Performs structural design using AutoCAD, REVIT, Navisworks
- Prepare structural 3D model designs and 2D detailed drawings
- Prepare and modify drawings during design and construction. Ensuring structural drawings meet established CADD standards and are clear and constructable.
- Communicate and coordinate with engineering and design members of the Project team
- Read and interpret drawings, equipment drawings, shop drawings and other discipline drawings.
- Completes site visits to document existing conditions in both greenfield and brownfield heavy industrial projects
Qualifications
- Civil Engineering Technology Diploma from an accredited school is required
- Working experience and knowledge in recent and current versions of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, MS Office with excellent general computer skills is required
- Skills in MicroStation and ProjectWise are an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are required
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
