We’re reinventing the market research industry. Let’s reinvent it together.

At Numerator, we believe tomorrow’s success starts with today’s market intelligence. We empower the world’s leading brands and retailers with unmatched insights into consumer behavior and the influencers that drive it.

The Canadian Commercial Strategy and Growth Enablement team turns Numerator’s data into market intelligence, thought leadership and commercial content that strengthens our position in the Canadian marketplace.

As Strategy Analyst, Canadian Consumer Intelligence and Thought Leadership, you will analyze consumer, purchase, survey and market data to identify emerging trends and explain why they matter. You will contribute to thought leadership, marketing content and sales enablement by developing clear, evidence-based points of view and translating them into compelling stories. This is an early-career role for a strong analyst who is curious about Canadian consumers, comfortable working with data and motivated to grow as an insight storyteller. You will work closely with senior team members and partners across Marketing, Sales, Client Success, Solutions Consulting and Research.

This is an established role within the Canadian Strategy and Solutions team.

How You'll Spend Your Time:
  • Analyze Numerator purchase, consumer and survey data to identify meaningful behavioural shifts, category trends and market opportunities.

  • Conduct analysis for recurring and event-driven thought leadership reports, presentations, executive briefs and marketing content.

  • Develop initial hypotheses and points of view, then refine them with senior team members into clear, evidence-based narratives.

  • Translate findings into practical implications and materials for clients, prospects and Numerator’s commercial teams.

  • Monitor Canadian retail, CPG, cultural and economic developments and incorporate relevant context into consumer analysis.

  • Support B2B marketing, product marketing, webinars, social content, sales materials and selected client or industry presentations.

  • Track the reach and effectiveness of thought leadership, campaigns and partnership activities, and identify opportunities to improve future content.

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, marketing, market research, analytics, social sciences or a related discipline.

  • Approximately 2–4 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-op placements or applied graduate research, in consumer insights, market research, analytics, consulting, strategy or thought leadership.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data, identify meaningful patterns and move beyond reporting to conclusions and implications.

  • Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to construct a point of view and tell a compelling, evidence-based story.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Excel and PowerPoint, with exposure to SQL, Snowflake, Macrobond or similar data and research platforms considered an asset.

  • Knowledge of, or strong interest in, the Canadian retail, CPG and consumer landscape.

  • Experience with household panel, syndicated, loyalty, survey or other consumer data is an asset.

  • Curiosity, attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple assignments while collaborating across functions.

  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools and workflows, with an interest in applying emerging technologies to improve productivity, learning and client outcomes.
