Job Description:

The Wealth Strategy team, as part of the Wealth National Office, supports TD Wealth businesses by providing strategic thought leadership, planning, and competitive analysis to the Group Head, Wealth Management, and the Wealth Operating Committee.

The Wealth Strategy team focuses on identifying and framing growth opportunities, including cross-business synergies, while better contextualizing the competitive landscape. The team is responsible for providing forward-thinking, fact-based analysis, and implementation-ready strategies and tactics that enable and strengthen our competitive advantage. Through strong partnerships with key stakeholders across the bank, the team acts as a growth enabler for TD Wealth, driving profitability and sustaining performance.

The successful candidate will provide strategic support to TD Canadian Wealth leadership through both internal and external analysis.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Wealth Strategy, you will support the delivery of high visibility projects as part of an internal consulting team, working with partners across TD Wealth's multiple business lines. To be successful in this role, you must have a collaborative, team-driven delivery mindset, and comfort working in a fast-paced, unstructured environment to solve complex problems with a significant degree of ambiguity.

The successful candidate will be expected to support delivery on the following:

  • Analytical and strategic projects, from start to finish, as part of a project team; includes project design and scoping; aligning partner expectations; project management and updates, and timely delivery

  • Conduct research and financial analysis on key competitors and industry trends, leveraging both internal and external sources of information

  • Support the build and roll out of strategic frameworks, interpret results, generate insights, and write memos and decks to provide findings and recommendations to business partners

  • Effectively communicate key insights, ideas, and strategies to an executive audience in a clear, compelling, and concise manner

  • Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence across the Bank to achieve stakeholder consensus and maintain a deep understanding of the business

Job Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of relevant business experience in financial services industry; experience and knowledge of Wealth Management would be an asset

  • Experience analyzing complex business problems and conducting in-depth secondary research

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)

  • University degree in business management or related discipline; CPA/CFA qualification or working towards qualification would be an asset

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a solid background working with data, conducting analysis, interpreting results, solving complex business problems, and writing reports/presentations

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, and strong interpersonal skills

  • Results-oriented project management skills; well organized, with a high attention to detail
