The Streaming Foundations team builds services and operates data pipeline infrastructure to support event streaming, messaging, and analytics use cases. We are looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about distributed systems, platform engineering, and solving data-intensive problems at scale. In this high-impact role, you will get to work with engineers throughout the organization to build foundational infrastructure that allows Auth0 to scale for years to come.

What you’ll be doing

  • Contribute to the technical direction of the team and provide input on the engineering roadmap for the Platform's streaming capabilities.
  • Design and implement high-impact systems, owning features end-to-end from design through delivery.
  • Participate in architectural discussions that address technical challenges and improve platform scalability.
  • Collaborate effectively within and across teams on cross-functional projects for successful delivery.
  • Improve the operational posture of our systems by applying best practices in observability, reliability, and scalability, and sharing that knowledge with teammates.

What you’ll bring to our teams

  • 3+ years of full-time, software development experience in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Experience working with Golang or Java is preferred
  • Hands-on experience developing and tuning highly-scalable, event-driven systems
  • Solid understanding of database fundamentals and experience with event streaming technologies such as Kafka
  • A passion and interest to work on systems that are highly reliable, maintainable, scalable and secure.

Extra points

  • Experience with front-end technologies such as TypeScript and React
  • Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and container technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker
  • Familiarity with or interest in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) business domain

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between:
$110,000$151,000 CAD
