What you'll be doing

As Senior Manager, Email and Distributed Marketing, you will support the strategy and lead the execution, governance, optimization, and ongoing management of advisor- and business-driven email communications across both Salesforce Marketing Cloud and traditional email channels, including Outlook embedded email communications. As a member of the Wealth Digital, Marketing and Communications team, you will support Wealth Management by enabling scalable, compliant, and effective marketing and communication solutions that advance advisor and broader business objectives.

The successful candidate will bring deep digital marketing expertise, strong channel management capability, marketing technology knowledge, and operational leadership to oversee a multi-channel email ecosystem. This includes leading sophisticated Distributed Marketing capabilities within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with a strong focus on journey strategy, development, orchestration, optimization, and lifecycle management, while also governing more traditional email formats and processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and effectiveness across all outbound communications.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

How you'll succeed

  • Strategic & Innovative Thinking – Support the digital strategy and roadmap to ensure advisors’ and clients’ needs are addressed. Assess the impact of delivered programs in achieving desired goals and objectives, and define KPIs and success metrics across the full email channel ecosystem, including journey performance, progression, engagement, and conversion outcomes.
  • Email Campaign Execution – Support the end-to-end delivery of marketing, advisor, and transactional email campaigns across OFT, Distributed Marketing, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud channels. Coordinate timelines, prepare assets, and help ensure communications are launched accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with business priorities.
  • Email Build, Deployment & Distributed Marketing Enablement – Build, format, personalize, and manage email communications within Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Distributed Marketing frameworks, and support deployment activities, including hands-on execution of Outlook file template emails where required. Enable scalable advisor communications through Distributed Marketing templates, user workflows, and channel governance.
  • Journey Development & Management – Lead the design, build, testing, deployment, and ongoing management of Salesforce Marketing Cloud journeys using Journey Builder. Develop triggered, scheduled, and behavior-based journeys that support client and advisor communications across the lifecycle. Manage entry sources, audience segmentation, decision splits, wait steps, versioning, and journey health to ensure relevant, timely, and effective communications.
  • Distributed Marketing Management – Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of Distributed Marketing capabilities to support advisor-level communications at scale. Partner with stakeholders to develop templates, establish usage standards, manage approvals and governance requirements, and enhance the advisor experience while maintaining compliance and brand consistency.
  • Journey Optimization & Personalization – Monitor journey and Distributed Marketing performance and recommend enhancements to improve engagement, operational efficiency, and business outcomes. Apply segmentation, dynamic content, personalization logic, A/B testing, and audience rules to continuously optimize journey effectiveness and user experience.
  • Automation & Operational Excellence – Lead campaign workflow setup and operational support through Automation Studio, Distributed Marketing processes, and related Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities to enable reliable audience selection, data flows, triggered sends, and campaign execution processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with advisors, business stakeholders, technology teams, compliance, and marketing partners to translate communication objectives into scalable Distributed Marketing and Salesforce Marketing Cloud journey solutions.
  • Project Management – Lead programs with enterprise partners, managing channel backlogs, prioritization, dependencies, and strategic alignment across Distributed Marketing, journey, and email initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance – Review campaign content, journey configuration, Distributed Marketing setup, segmentation logic, personalization rules, and deployment details carefully to support accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand, regulatory, privacy, and accessibility expectations.

Who you are

  • You have a degree/diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • You can demonstrate experience in email campaign execution, journey development, Distributed Marketing, and marketing automation, including strong hands-on expertise with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Distributed Marketing, audience segmentation, testing, and deployment. Experience with Outlook file template (OFT) development is also required. It’s an asset if you have experience supporting both marketing and transactional communications in a regulated industry.
