Summary:
The McCain Canada Retail Marketing Team is looking for an experienced Digital Marketer with a passion for Grocery Ecommerce and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Reporting to the Director, Marketing (Canada Retail), the Senior Manager, Digital Engagement & Ecommerce is tasked with driving McCain's digital agenda forward through a variety of responsibilities including:

  • Accelerating the growth of McCain's Retail Ecommerce business across retailers and 3rd party platforms
  • Providing oversight of product & brand content fueling McCain's online marketing ecosystem & contributing to McCain's overall brand image
  • Developing and optimizing McCain's Consumer facing web properties enabling best in class digital experiences
  • Showcasing McCain's digital expertise by delivering a test & learn agenda that supports innovation and education with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting growth and development of direct report (Digital Content Specialist)


Accelerate Development of McCain's Retail Ecommerce business

  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Agency partners to drive Ecomm performance across McCain's 4 Retail Product Portfolios
  • Plan & execute retail media campaigns (including sponsored search programs) in collaboration with media agency and Retailer media desks, meeting ROAS targets and media benchmarks
  • Leads selection process for e-Commerce Vendors and Partners, defining the strategic approach to maximize partnerships and negotiate contracts
  • Deliver Ecommerce Test & Learn initiatives against joint priorities to drive future growth & identify new areas for Ecommerce development
  • Maintain Ecomm Dashboard, Business Scorecards & Consistent KPI tracking - Providing detailed insights of sales and media performance, enabling competitive comparisons and recommending data-driven actions (utilizing Nielsen & Retailer Sales data)


Optimize & maintain McCain's Consumer facing web properties

  • Enable best in class digital experiences across our ecosystem of owned web platforms (McCain.ca, Tastiez.ca, etc.)
  • Lead new website creation, and oversee the development of campaign landing pages, ongoing content changes in collaboration with develop/design agencies, and McCain's Digital Content Specialist
  • Provide regular reporting to the business (leveraging GA4) to ensure engagement and traffic goals are being met.


Effectively Manage McCain's Digital Shelf across retailers and 3rd party platforms

  • Supervise creation, adaptation and syndication of online brand & product content aligned to Ecommerce best practices
  • Manage McCain's digital content agency & maintain processes to ensure all product content is accurate and meets retailer & platforms requirements
  • Maintain Content Quality Scores across key retailers while elevating digital asset management practices
  • Utilize Digital Shelf tracking tools (such as Profitero) to prepare reporting & analysis ensuring content performance and Share of Voice goals are met.


Provide Digital thought leadership to drive McCain's Digital Agenda forward

  • Bring forward industry knowledge and ideas to shape McCain's digital future & champion organizational capability-building in Ecommerce cross-functionally through facilitation of training and education of Sales & Marketing teams
  • Proactively monitor and identify external competitive activity, trends, market issues and opportunities.


KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:
• 7-10 years of experience in Marketing at a large organization, with at least 5 in Digital Marketing
• Proven understanding of Canadian CPG market; our customers and consumers
• Experience with Grocery E-commerce, Product Information Management systems and Retailer Media Buying
• Experience analyzing data/information with the ability to succinctly communicate recommendations to Sales & Marketing Leadership and influence using sound evidence
• Passion for Marketing creative with knowledge of digital content best practices
• Experience building relationships and managing external vendors and agency partners
• A self-starter with strong communication skills & demonstrated ability to work cross functionally
• Possesses a resourceful, creative, and hands-on approach with the ability to think strategically, and manage multiple projects in parallel
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Undergraduate Degree in Business, Communications or Marketing
OTHER INFORMATION

  • This role is a HYBRID position, 2-3 days per week job is performed onsite in a standard office environment, and remainder of time would be work from home.
