The Sr. Project Manager, Localization provides support to the Regional Director, Language Services by taking full responsibility for managing day-to-day projects and campaigns, managing client relationships.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in handling client Language Services or Creative briefs
  • A Bachelor’s degree in related field (i.e. English, Linguistics, International Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business). A combination of education and work experience can be substituted.
  • Bilingual a must
  • Understand production processes and the essentials of briefs from a Language Services perspective
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Understanding of job-tracking systems
  • Be highly organized, detail-oriented, ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • 3+ year experience with project management applications and translation management systems/CAT tools
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PPT, Excel)
  • Knowledge of invoicing and P&L processes

JOB DUTIES

(* denotes essential function)

  • * Day-to-day management of projects/ briefs and campaigns including: setting and managing project timelines, estimating/reconciling, project administration, status reporting, handling client approvals. Determine optimal workflows, develop brand guidelines and set procedures for new accounts.
  • *Ensure creative excellence in projects by following set creative procedures including interpretation and consolidation of client briefs, Language Services and Creative Team, briefing copywriters, translators and proofreaders
  • *Maintain close contact with Client Services team who are also on the same account
  • *Develop an expert-level understanding of job tracking systems
  • *Anticipate, identify and troubleshoot technological bottlenecks in workflow and/or asset management systems
  • *Escalate team issues to Director as necessary
  • *Develop rate cards for clients
  • *Accurately quote all jobs and keep the client updated regularly with any additional costs.
  • *Manage billing, produce and present financial reports to clients or Language Services Director
  • *Synthesize complex briefs and develop efficient project plans
  • *Regular review and auditing of processes such as folder structure, compliance with workflows, and reporting back findings to director
  • Be commercially aware and highlight any costing errors immediately to the Director.
  • Assist in setting up of new Language Services projects, resource planning and client specific procedure
  • Ensure Best Practices are followed
  • *Responsible for day to day client relationship management.
  • *Ensure all client/internal deliverables are met
  • *Conduct client presentations, QBRs and pitches. Attend client meetings
  • *Investigate issues related to projects, and identify areas to prevent repeat occurrences
  • *Conduct follow-ups after delivery of projects and client satisfaction surveys to maintain quality and client relationship
  • With Language Services Director, identify potential new business and ways of increasing profitability
  • *Be first point of escalation for team members on day-to-day project management questions and issue resolution
  • Arrange and oversee inductions for new employees. Plan and execute training schedules.
