HHAeXchange is one of the healthcare industry’s fastest growing healthcare software solutions providers. Founded in 2008, HHAeXchange was born out of an idea to create a fully comprehensive end-to-end homecare solution to help people who are aging or have disabilities thrive in their homes and communities. Our employees are passionate about transforming the healthcare space by building the only homecare ecosystem that fully connects patients, personal care providers, managed care organizations, and states.

Today, HHAeXchange is the premiere homecare management software for the Medicaid LTSS population. In 2024 HHAeXchange acquired Cashe Software, Generations Homecare System, and Sandata Technologies. Together, our companies are best positioned to deliver transformative technology that improves health outcomes and meets the growing need for home and community-based services (HCBS).

This FP&A Analyst role will serve as a dedicated financial business partner to the Research & Development organization, acting as the critical link between R&D leadership and finance. The analyst in this role will develop deep expertise in hosting and infrastructure costs, translating complex cloud and technology spend into clear financial insights that drive smarter investment decisions. This role provides a unique opportunity to embed directly with R&D teams—building trusted relationships with engineering and product leaders while shaping how the company forecasts, manages, and optimizes its hosting cost base. In addition, the analyst will support headcount planning and project-level financial analysis for R&D initiatives, working closely across the Finance and Accounting team while maintaining a strong commitment to accuracy, deadlines, and operational rigor. A successful candidate will be naturally curious about technology economics, comfortable translating technical infrastructure discussions into financial narratives, and motivated to drive cost transparency and accountability across the R&D function.

Our FP&A team is rapidly developing offering a unique experience to be part of establishing foundational processes in a dynamic and evolving business environment.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Essential Job Duties

  • Serve as the embedded FP&A business partner for the R&D organization; establish trust with engineering, product, infosec, and infrastructure leaders to deeply understand their cost drivers, roadmaps, and operational metrics
  • Own hosting cost forecasting and variance analysis—identify key sources of spend variability across cloud providers and infrastructure environments, understand root causes, and implement data-driven forecasting improvements in partnership with R&D and Engineering teams
  • Design, prepare, and automate periodic dashboards and reports on R&D operating results, hosting cost trends, and infrastructure spend metrics for R&D leadership and the executive team
  • Leverage detailed data analysis to build robust models around hosting cost trends, unit economics, and R&D investment returns—translating technical infrastructure decisions into financial guidance that prioritizes and plans key resource allocation choices
  • Transform hosting cost models and R&D trending analyses into meaningful insights regarding financial impacts to the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements—clearly communicating how infrastructure investments affect overall company performance
  • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deliverables
  • Monitor R&D business performance against KPIs, hosting cost targets, and strategic plans—proactively flagging risks and opportunities to R&D and Finance leadership
  • Identify and drive improvements in R&D cost management processes, reporting frameworks, and hosting cost governance—partnering with Engineering and FinOps to build scalable financial operating models
  • Natural curiosity to leverage AI in daily tasks to optimize workflows

Other Job Duties

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or HHA exchange leader.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel up to 10%, including overnight travel

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or other similar analytical discipline
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in cost forecasting and analysis; experience with hosting, cloud, or infrastructure cost structures is a strong plus
  • 2+ years of experience in a FP&A or similar analytical role
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with ability to understand the "big picture" yet preserve a keen eye for details with extensive financial modeling (3 financial statement models, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and produce consistent results in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Self-starter motivated by identifying and improving or solving challenges
  • Advanced Excel skills (Index/Match, etc)
  • Experience with a planning tool (e.g. Adaptive, Anaplan, etc) a plus; familiarity with cloud cost management tools (e.g. AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, CloudHealth) a plus
