What You’ll Be Doing

The Sr. Financial Analyst role is primarily responsible for end-to-end IFRS16 lease accounting, which includes interpretation of lease commitments/contracts, collaboration with 3rd party lease administrators and internal stakeholders to manage any lease related matters, creation and maintenance of lease ROU Asset/Liability schedules, preparation of related journal entries, financial notes, continuity schedules, reconciliation, or any ad hoc project updates to ensure compliance with accounting standards and controls. This position is also responsible for supporting the financial close process through timely accounting entries and performing general accounting functions as required. The accounting work is moderately complex, requiring judgment in the application of the appropriate and applicable established procedures.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Accounting and Controls – You have hands-on working experience related to IFRS16 lease accounting standards and strong business and analytical skills to assess and interpret business needs. You have a good understanding of the Financial Control framework to support and ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Relationship Management – You have good communication, teamwork, partnership, and relationship-building skills sufficient to act in a collaborative manner with team members and stakeholders from different backgrounds and experiences. You will liaise regularly with outsource service providers, Corporate Real Estate, Treasury, Taxation, Policy, and all Lines of Business and Functional Groups.
  • Agility – You support agile accounting processes and controls to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Ensure changes in accounting policies/requirements are implemented in a controlled manner. Maintain up-to-date desktop procedures in accordance with best practices, regulatory requirements, SOX, and Internal Controls.
  • Data Management – You have good spreadsheet and database management skills, such as Oracle, Data Analytics, Microsoft Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
