Company Overview

Teragonia is the AI Operating System for Private Equity, helping sponsors and their portfolio companies turn fragmented operational data into decisions that move EBITDA. We operate in the highest-pressure segment of enterprise performance, where outcomes are time-bound by a 3 to 5 year hold period and execution velocity defines returns. Through Astradis, our AI platform, we unify structured and unstructured data, generate prescriptive insights in near real time, and embed them directly into operating workflows with clear ownership and measurable impact. We partner with PE firms managing more than US$400B in assets and are rapidly expanding globally.

Our work is measured in EBITDA outcomes. Across PE portfolio companies, we drive 3% to 5% EBITDA uplift, accelerate roll-ups through standardized data and KPI frameworks, and maintain continuous exit readiness with high-fidelity performance instrumentation. We are replacing episodic consulting with a compounding AI platform that scales expertise across companies, industries, and ownership cycles. Teragonia is built for high-agency builders who want early responsibility, direct exposure to the world's leading private equity firms and their portfolio CXOs, and the opportunity to help define the operating layer for value creation in the AI era.

Teragonia offers a comprehensive career development platform through cross-learning within our multidisciplinary structure. We nurture a diverse, inclusive, collaborative, respectful, and collegial environment. Our competitive compensation package aligns with the technology industry leaders, encompassing 401k contribution matching, medical insurance, and additional benefits.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Principal to join our team. As a Principal, you will own client relationships and carry full accountability for engagement success. You will lead delivery teams consisting of a combination of engagement managers, associates, analysts, and AI Operating System (AIOS) engineering team members, serve as the primary point of ownership for getting work done across the firm and with the client, and co-create new opportunities alongside the client executives you serve. Working closely with the Managing Director, who leads the most senior external commercial relationship, you will translate client priorities into outcomes, mobilize the internal team to deliver, and build the trust that expands each account over time.

This is a business leadership role first. We are looking for candidates who think about the health of the overall client business, not only the engagement in front of them: someone who can prioritize across competing demands, communicate a clear point of view to senior clients, develop the people around them, and understand how delivery, client satisfaction, and commercial growth connect. Technical fluency matters, but for this role we weight client leadership, people leadership, and business judgment above hands-on technical execution. We are particularly interested in candidates who operate with integrity, intellectual humility, and a long-term career commitment.

ResponsibilitiesClient Engagement Leadership
  • Own client relationships, serving as the trusted point of ownership clients rely on for delivery and outcomes
  • Partner with the Managing Director on account strategy, taking the lead on execution, internal mobilization, and identifying new growth opportunities within existing accounts, while the MD owns the most senior external commercial relationship.
  • Co-create new opportunities with clients by understanding their business deeply and connecting their priorities to solutions the firm can deliver
  • Lead executive-level presentations, read-outs, and strategic conversations with C-suite clients, communicating a clear and credible point of view
  • Navigate complex client situations with judgment, pushing back constructively when it serves the client and the relationship
Delivery Ownership and Prioritization
  • Carry full end-to-end accountability for engagement success across 3+ concurrent engagements, from scoping through delivery
  • Provide the end-to-end thinking required to get work done internally and externally, removing obstacles and making the calls that keep engagements moving
  • Prioritize effectively across competing demands, allocating your attention and the team's effort to what matters most
  • Manage engagement economics and profitability across your portfolio, handling scope changes transparently and proactively
  • Master Service Agreement, Sales Order, and Change Order documentation, with the ability to draft comprehensive scopes of work and management engagement risk
People and Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop teams of Engagement Managers, Associates, and Analysts, delegating effectively and coaching team members.
  • Provide consistent direction, timely and actionable feedback, and mentorship that builds independence and leadership in your direct reports
  • Participate actively in recruiting to attract top talent
Business Leadership and Growth
  • Think and act like a future business unit leader, understanding how delivery, client outcomes, and commercial growth connect across the business
  • Work with senior leadership to shape account targets and growth strategies
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with sponsors, C-suite executives, and operating teams
  • Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across the existing client base
  • Develop case studies with the business development group and represent the firm at relevant networking and industry events
  • Expand expertise in a chosen industry, functional, or business domain
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Technical Fluency
  • Guide teams on approach and quality, drawing on enough technical fluency to make sound decisions and ask the right questions, while relying on specialists for hands-on execution
  • Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and AI engineers to deliver integrated solutions
  • Stay current with industry trends and apply them to improve client outcomes
  • Contribute to firm strategy and operational excellence initiatives

RequirementsNecessary Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience, including a proven track record of leading client engagements and delivery teams (management consulting, professional services, value creation, or a comparable environment)
  • Demonstrated ability to own senior client relationships and act as the primary point of delivery ownership for all key stakeholders
  • Experience in managing multiple complex engagements or workstreams simultaneously, with strong prioritization across competing demands
  • Proven people leadership, with a track record of developing high-performing team members
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand a client's business end to end and communicate about it credibly
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and executive-presentation skills
  • Track record of contributing to business development and account growth
  • Demonstrated ability to manage engagement economics and profitability
  • Comfort operating in a data- and technology-driven environment, with enough fluency to guide teams and earn client trust (hands-on technical depth is a plus, not the primary requirement)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recognized expertise in a specific industry vertical (for example healthcare, industrials, financial services, or business services)
  • Familiarity with private equity value creation playbooks and operating models
  • Demonstrated ability to grow green field services revenue other than organic revenue growth through upselling active engagements
  • Thought leadership presence through publications, speaking engagements, or industry recognition
  • Working familiarity with data and analytics concepts sufficient to lead technical delivery teams
