Job Description
The successful candidate will manage financial analysis for a number of brands, reporting to the Finance Director. Tasks include corporate accounting controls, reporting, budgets, forecasts, financial analyses, client compensation modeling.
Responsibilities
- Work with Brand Directors, line of business Management to review actual results and forecasts, and “special” client requests, streamline communication and act as an advisor to solve problems and communicate relevant information
- Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations
- Review, analyze and monitor divisional financial statements, key performance metrics, and operational trends to better assist leadership in driving performance.
- Direct and take ownership of all aspects of the monthly forecasting and recognizing actuals to assist leadership in decision making
- Prepare, review and present monthly financial reports, work with the accounting team to investigate any unusual variances or results
- Proactively provide recommendations to local and regional management to address business and financial issues facing the agency
- Work with other analysts to standardize and collaborate on the best practices for communication and process
- Increase productivity by developing automated applications (preferably POWER BI); eliminating duplications; coordinating reporting requirements
- Collaborate with year-end and mid-year internal auditors
- Various tasks as assigned by the Finance Director
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (CPA not required, but a plus)
- 8-10 years related corporate accounting experience (media/advertising agency, PR firm, or related industry a strong asset)
- Excellent analytical/quantitative skills with great attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, written communication and organizational skills.
- Strong MS Excel skills required – ability to create and use pivot tables necessary
- SAP knowledge would be an advantage
- Power BI knowledge would be an advantage
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic by working additional hours, as required, to meet Groupe deadlines and other business commitments
- Prioritise tasks, focusing on those areas which best deliver results
- Consistently meet Brand and Groupe deadlines, providing data to local and regional management which is complete, accurate and timely, and fully meets their requirements
