As Sr. Director, Business Development, you will be a growth driver - building relationships in untapped markets, pursuing new and recently acquired clients, shaping high‑impact solutions, and delivering measurable results. This is a senior-level individual contributor role, focused on personally driving the pursuit and closing of new and recently acquired clients, in collaboration with Bond’s practice teams. This role demands a proactive, opportunity‑creating mindset and the ability to connect client needs with Bond’s diverse capabilities, from marketing strategy and insights to experience design, technology solutions, and innovation partnerships.
Job requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and senior level experience in business development, consulting, or agency leadership.
  • 10+ years in client facing roles with accountability for revenue generation, account growth, and new and recently acquired client development.
  • Proven experience managing the entire sales cycle - from prospecting and qualification to proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic solution selling within complex enterprise environments, engaging multiple stakeholders and navigating matrixed decision making.
  • Ideally brings experience in one or more of Bond’s core domains - retail/consumer, MarTech/CRM implementation, alliance led selling, or loyalty/CX/customer engagement - with expertise in multiple domains considered a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of go to market strategies, competitive positioning, and solution design.
  • Skilled at collaborating with internal practice and solution leaders to craft high impact proposals.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship building, and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in fast moving environments.
  • Commercially minded with strong financial acumen for forecasting, margin management, and executive reporting.
  • Thrives in a hunter role - resourceful, persistent, and motivated to create opportunities rather than wait for them.
  • Financial acumen to manage revenue forecasts, costs, profit margins, and reporting to executives. 

Job responsibilities
Market Engagement & Opportunity Creation
  • Proactively build relationships with senior decision makers at target organizations.
  • Create new conversations in the market to uncover opportunities and position Bond’s value.
  • Manage a pipeline of new and recently acquired clients, ensuring accurate revenue forecasting and progress tracking.
  • Drive outbound engagement to generate qualified opportunities and maintain momentum in pursuit cycles.
  • Connect prospects with the right internal experts to align solutions with their needs.
 
Solution Shaping & Pursuit Leadership
  • Assemble cross functional teams to design tailored solutions, develop pricing strategies, and strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Lead pursuit efforts from strategy through to close, ensuring proposals clearly articulate objectives, deliverables, timelines, and Bond’s value proposition.
  • Coach pursuit teams to adopt winning approaches in competitive situations.
 
Client Transition & Growth Enablement
  • Oversee onboarding of new clients, ensuring smooth handoff to delivery teams and alignment with client priorities.
  • Maintain a presence during early delivery phases to ensure satisfaction and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Develop first year growth strategies for new accounts, expanding relationships across Bond’s service offerings.
 
Revenue & Performance Management
  • Achieve quarterly and annual growth targets.
  • Manage financial performance for your portfolio, including forecasts, costs, and margins.
  • Activate Bond’s breadth of capabilities and innovation partners to deliver measurable impact.

Benefits

Compensation: The expected base salary compensation for this role is $134,581.2 to $165,000 CAD annually. 

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI): Bond uses AI tools during parts of the screening, assessment, and selection process, supporting a fair and efficient hiring process.

The actual base salary compensation will vary depending on local market conditions, geography, and relevant job-related factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Team members can also participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to both business and individual performance.
