What You'll Be Doing

Simplii Financial is CIBC’s direct banking brand and is available to clients through online, mobile, and telephone banking channels. Simplii is distinct from our CIBC brand, meeting a need in the market for an alternative, no-fee banking offer with great rates.

Reporting to the Director, Process Engineering, you will be responsible for leading assigned projects, and ensuring, through oversight of end to end requirements work is completed, that all new and changed systems implemented are effective, easy to learn and use and implemented in a manner that best accommodates the client. You will support these client experiences by designing and implementing processes that will integrate new or enhanced capability and functionality, using industry design methodology and tools to optimize the client experience and process performance.

How You'll Succeed

  • Business Acumen and Relationship Building – Execute on Simplii business strategy, by actively contributing to leading Simplii on matters of client experience and business processes, including definition and execution of process; business process performance monitoring, conducting and delivering analysis that presents comprehensive views on business process challenges. Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions. Employ various process improvement methods/practices to improve product and service delivery. Builds relationship with internal partners to understand their strategies, and work towards their fruition through process enhancements. 

 

  • Understanding Requirements – Conduct analysis of Simplii processes and functional or reporting requirements. You’ll lead the delivery of BA artifacts/work package as they pertain to Business Requirements and Solutions Requirements for assigned initiatives. Establish activities and time lines for your work-package. Partner with subject matter experts to establish and develop functional and non-functional requirements documents. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and prepares recommendations for business process issues that impact the way of doing business across Simplii. You’ll need to co-ordinate, guide and mentor business specialists through lifecycle of the project including the design of business processes, support of technical build, input and validation of the test results, and successful implementation. You will take ownership of all process-related issues, and follow them through to resolution, ensuring all are documented and signed off as appropriate. 

 

  • Solution Design- Work closely with Business Partners to guide the formulation of complex business requirements and solution design discussions to meet project needs.  Assist internal business groups on process improvement projects. Provide technical guidance concerning business implications of application development project, help to maintain high quality IT standards, practices and processes, validate Scope Clarification Documents including, but not limited to, other areas Solution Requirement Artifacts and Quality Assurance Artifacts to ensure business partner needs are met and implications of new and enhancements to application projects are understood. 

 

  • Problem Solving – Develop imaginative solutions and new ways of thinking about situations, problems and opportunities. You have experience planning, supporting and providing changes in Process Engineering and other improvement methodologies to executives, internal and external stakeholders. You can conduct research and root cause analysis, analyze tradeoffs between usability, performance and key business objectives. You can develop models and ‘what if’ scenarios to demonstrate the range of options available to management, by presenting optimal solutions. 

 

  • Coordination & Collaboration - Coordinate and lead cross-functional tasks or work packages to identify and document functional or reporting requirements, work flow, information sources and system specifications. Partner with project manager, technical resources, vendors, and management to ensure accurate execution of projects.
