DESCRIPTION:
Join our team as a Senior Business Manager and contribute to global healthcare advancement. You'll develop and manage strategic relationships with commercial clients in our pharmaceutical services and manufacturing operations. Working at the intersection of business and science, you'll serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams to support growth while ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Your role will involve leading client partnerships, managing complex portfolios, and identifying expansion opportunities. The Sr Business Manager is assigned to larger “key” accounts and is active in supporting negotiations and network projects. You'll oversee critical business processes including demand planning, forecasting, contract negotiations, and financial performance. As a key member of our commercial team, you'll help shape business strategy while advancing our mission of making healthcare more accessible through innovative pharmaceutical solutions.

This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced pharmaceutical technologies and processes while developing and executing strategies that directly impact business growth and client satisfaction. You'll collaborate across functions to enhance operational excellence, resolve complex challenges, and ensure we consistently meet our clients' expectations.
REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry, preferably in CDMO environment

• Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Business, or related field
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification beneficial

• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered

• Fluent English required

Experience:
• Minimum 8 years of previous related experience in project management, account management, sales or marketing with internal or external client-facing responsibilities. 
• Pharmaceutical or Contract Manufacturing industry experienced preferred

Skills:

• Demonstrated success in business management, client relationship management, or similar commercial roles
• Strong understanding of GMP regulations and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
• Advanced financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and business analytics
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Clear communication and presentation abilities
• Experience in managing complex client relationships and internal stakeholders
• Proficiency with business systems and Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with sales operations planning (S&OP) and demand forecasting
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities

• Advanced negotiation and resolution skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix environment
• Travel up to 10% as needed
• Experience managing commercial contracts and pricing strategies
• Demonstrated ability to generate business growth and identify new opportunities

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

•   Primarily office-based with occasional standing, walking, light lifting, and computer use;


Compensation

The estimated annualized pay range for this position in Ontario is $85,500.00–$120,000.00.
