The Client Analytics team plays a key role in this mission, driving strategy, uncovering actionable insights, and enabling data-driven decision-making for leading brands across industries such as retail, banking, automotive, QSR, and grocery.
The Sr. Analyst, Client Analytics is a hands-on execution role at the core of our analytics delivery. You will lead analyses from end to end, turning large and complex data sets into clear insights and recommendations that drive business outcomes for leading brands across industries such as retail, banking, automotive, QSR, and grocery.
Working closely with our consultants and managers, you will play a significant role in developing customer-centric business and loyalty marketing strategies by identifying opportunities, testing hypotheses, reporting on performance, and communicating findings. This is an ideal role for a strong analytical problem-solver who is ready to take ownership of their work, deepen their advanced analytics skills, and begin supporting more junior team members.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline (business, computer science, engineering, statistics, math, or equivalent). Master’s degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in an analytical discipline (business analysis, analytics, data science, business intelligence, statistics).
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated experience in marketing analytics, customer analytics, and loyalty analytics.
- Strong communication skills: effective at communicating a compelling summary of findings and explaining analytical methodologies.
- High proficiency with database languages (SQL) and programming languages (Python, R). Experience with big-data languages (PySpark) is a plus.
- High proficiency with data visualization in BI reporting tools (PowerBI, Tableau).
- Experience with advanced analytics techniques (supervised learning, unsupervised learning, statistical testing, simulation, optimization).
- High proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
Key responsibilities
Analytics Delivery
- Lead analytics projects from start to finish: develop hypotheses, gather requirements, conduct analyses, translate findings into insights and recommendations, and present to client stakeholders.
- Design and apply appropriate analytics methods and approaches against client problems, selecting the right techniques to deliver reliable, actionable results.
- Write efficient Python and SQL code to conduct analyses on large, complex data sets.
- Design, build, and maintain analytics reports and dashboards (PowerBI, Tableau).
- Proactively conduct analyses to identify opportunities for business improvement.
Problem Solving & Insight
- Dive headfirst into ambiguous client problems, using highly structured thinking to develop logical approaches and solutions.
- Learn about and apply advanced analytics methods in marketing, customer, and loyalty contexts (supervised learning, unsupervised learning, statistical testing, simulation, optimization).
Communication & Collaboration
- Build effective communication material in PowerPoint, BI tools, and Excel, and communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical client audiences.
- Partner with consultants and managers to translate analysis into insight-driven business recommendations.
- Support and share knowledge with junior analysts, contributing to the growth of the team.
Benefits
Compensation: The expected base salary compensation for this role is $77,600.00 to $98,200.00 CAD annually.
