We are looking for a Software UI Developer to support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications that meet customer and product requirements. This role will focus on building user-facing software, HMI interfaces, and supporting application components while working closely with product owners, designers, architects, and other technical teams. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, experience with UI development, and working knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and Android-based interface development.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and user interfaces based on customer and product requirements.
  • Develop user-friendly HMI and UI components using Android XML and related technologies.
  • Work with product owners, designers, architects, and other technical teams to understand requirements and deliver practical software solutions.
  • Contribute to software architecture decisions, including application structure, interfaces, integration methods, and deployment approach.
  • Develop and maintain application components, APIs, microservices, or back-end functionality as required.
  • Support software testing activities, including test strategy, automated testing, continuous integration, and release readiness.
  • Troubleshoot software issues, improve application performance, and support ongoing optimization of existing features.
  • Apply secure software development practices to help protect user data and support reliable product delivery. 

What you'll need to get the job done

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development, UI development, HMI development, or a related role.
  • Experience developing user interfaces or HMI systems, preferably using Android XML.
  • Working knowledge of Java and Kotlin.
  • Strong understanding of software development practices, including coding, debugging, testing, version control, and CI/CD concepts.
  • Good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. 

What will make us REALLY love you

  • Experience developing software for embedded, automotive, mobile, or connected-device platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile development, test-driven development, automated testing, or continuous delivery practices.
  • Experience with APIs, microservices, server-side development, or full-stack application development.
  • Interest in improving user experience, application performance, and development efficiency through new tools and technologies.
